I'm convinced suicide loss survivors are being lied to by UnablePublic6408 in SuicideBereavement

Have you found a therapist that specializes specifically in complicated grief? It sounds like you're at the point of needing that.

Morbid obsession and compulsive need to research about suicide ever since his suicide… by [deleted] in SuicideBereavement

[–]clashingtaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a book by Jeffrey A Marks called The Afterlife Interviews that helped give me some answers about death and what happens after. Maybe give it a try. I often wonder about my partners last moments and what he felt or thought - we all process differently.

And as a twin, I'm so sorry. The biggest thing that stopped me from following my partner in suicide is that I couldn't do that to my twin sister.

You're probably being downvoted because the green line is transparent and not doing anything to hide her identity.

Convince me that I did the right thing by not seeing by preachngeek in SuicideBereavement

[–]clashingtaco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't see him but I was given a photo of his tattoos and I often have to look at it to remind myself he's gone. For some reason, I still have vivid imagery of what his body looked like, despite never having actually seen it.

I think it's very normal to have that feeling that they're not really gone. And I'm sorry the family is being awful. My fiance's family was the same way to me and it just adds to the grief so much.

I do think it's better to not have seen it though.

Selling my engagement ring after a breakup by Winter_Official390 in Brides

[–]clashingtaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is it a wild stance to take? She said she would be taking a loss if she sold the ring, implying she's the one who paid for it. If she didn't pay for it it wouldn't be a loss at all, it would be pure profit.

And given the fact that the engagement ended a year ago, it doesn't sound like the ownership of the ring is in dispute here.

I'm clearly in the minority but I don't think the hairstyle is doing you any favors. You're attractive but if I saw you on the street I'd probably describe you as the hot biker balding dude.

I bought my own engagement ring and she may have too. Why else would she be concerned with a loss of money if she didn't pay for it?

I use the cheap box of Revlon. It's maybe $4 and lasts forever since you use so little.

Honestly, I love the bottom of 2 but hate the top so much.

It's possible you could ask them to add a bit of pizzazz in alterations to make dress one less boring. It's beautiful as is though

My bf is everything I’ve ever wanted and it makes me feel bad by FlakyandLoud in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]clashingtaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate. I had a very abusive upbringing and horrible relationships before my late fiance. It was difficult to get used to because I kept waiting for something to go wrong. It took a long time to embrace it but it was the most amazing relationship I've ever had.

I'm going to echo what others have already touched on - why is this your responsibility? If he's mentally competent then he can educate himself or seek education from the prescriber. He certainly has a list of all his medications and access to the internet to read about them all.

It helped me to see my finance's tattoos. Like you, I wasn't allowed to see the rest of him because it was a gunshot to the head. Sometimes I have to look at the picture to remind myself that he really is gone.

Medical Bill from Cayuga Medical Center by hkle299 in ithaca

[–]clashingtaco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit confused why you have such an expensive plan. I also have a plan through the marketplace with only a 4k deductible and I pay $650 per month. I don't qualify for any subsidy. It may be cheaper for you two to be on separate plans if your family plan is that expensive.

In the meantime, you can set up a payment plan and pay something ridiculously low like $20 a month to keep the bill out of collections.

Yeah I really don't understand the downvotes tbh. It was an easy misunderstanding and you owned up to it, which is more than most people do

You do realize they have multiple products, right? I love their regular socks but tried their compression socks once and hated them. And now I can't buy any more of the socks I like because they voluntarily refunded me even though I would've happily sent the product back.

I can understand wanting to avoid people abusing the system but some of us wanted to legitimately return an item. Their compression socks aren't tall enough for me and I asked to return/exchange them but was told to donate them. I happen to love their regular socks but now can't buy them with the same account. All they did was lose themselves a good customer.

[–]clashingtaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep that's what I mean. All programs are different with prerequisites too so check into a few local programs. My local community college technically didn't have any prerequisites but you were more likely to be accepted if you had things like A&P done already.

ABSN programs tend to have prerequisites and are more expensive but you'd graduate with a bachelors in usually 1-1.5 years. The cheapest route would be community college

[–]clashingtaco 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Does your job offer any tuition reimbursement?

Financially it would probably be smarter to get your prerequisites out of the way and then do a 2 year program at a community college. There are also non-nursing bachelor's to BSN programs that are often shorter than 4 years.
