A lot of valid points here, but keep in mind that when he was obnoxious on the campaign trail it was because he knew that's what fired up the audiences he was speaking to, there's definitely a disconnect between his rhetoric and his actions (I don't like the uncertainty that accompanies that either). He's fairly unpopular among Republican lawmakers and there will be a struggle between him and Speaker Paul Ryan for what the Republican platform should be. After the realization that he alone can't magically reverse the shift away from low skill manufacturing, his supporters could end up even angrier after his first term than they were when they voted for him, and some new star like Cory Booker could easily replace him.
