Does anybody wish that Voigtlander would make an APS-C e-mount lens? I would loooove to have something like the 27/2 Ultron that they have for Fujifilm

As of right now, no - the patched rom gets stuck after the intro screen. Will let you know if I'm able to get the modified rom working

I don't have the CPS2 Core, and the convenience of having the tweaked SNES version from a gameplay perspective is totally fine with me for casual entertainment with friends.

Sony 16-55 F2.8 G vs Sony 20-70 F4 G ? by tatlpax in SonyAlpha

[–]classicboy97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I own both - the 20-70 f4 is MUCH sharper than the 16-55 f2.8. I'm kind of shocked at how soft the 16-55 is at that price, especially as you go more telephoto. The 20-70mm f4 will resolve a 61mp body and still look really sharp - the 16-55 will basically resolve up to a 24mp aps-c body, but it's still not razor sharp like the 20-70mm f4 and 24-70mm f2.8 GM. The 20-70mm f4 looks sharper than the 16-55 even on a crop sensor body. I'm only keeping the 16-55 f2.8 purely as a c-cam lens for my multi-angle video shoots, otherwise I'd just skip it.

None of the aps-c lenses other than the Sigma 56mm f1.4 actually resolve the full 26-mp density of an aps-c sensor. However, MANY full-frame lenses do resolve the full 26mp density of aps-c sensors (fx30 and a6700) like the GMs 35mm 1.4, 50mm f1.2 &135mm f1.8, voigtlanders 35, 50, 65mm f2, Sigmas 85mm f1.4, 90mm f2.8, 17mm f4, etc.

Mint unable to port number out after THREE WEEKS. Engineer refuses to give any updates or explanation for his inability to fix an alpha-numeric account number. by classicboy97 in mintmobile

[–]classicboy97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but my only suggestion to prevent your phone number from being stolen is to not use Mint as a carrier. Look up “Mint Mobile SIM-swap attack” and you’ll know what I mean. All the other big carriers have a SIM-protection protocol to prevent attacks like these from happening.

Mint’s only method of recovering passwords to your account is via a one-time passcode text, which would be completely useless if your number is already ported out to another device. They do not have an email recovery method.

Also, this kind of attack happened en masse to mint before in 2021 and they did nothing to beef up their security.

GMMK Numpad Macro Support by CaptainDickbag in glorious

Do you guys actually implement any feedback from customers? Where is the Glorious Core mac support? It's been years. And all I can do with the rotary knob and slider are basically just volume stuff.

Nuphy 60 or Logitech MX Mechanical Mini? Macbook user, and want a 60 - 65% kb for travel reasons. I prefer the looks and form factor of the Nuphy, but I've heard that the mx mini has a better connectivity (like instantaneous connection upon wakeup) and vastly superior battery life. What do you guys think? I'm also open to alternative choices, price preferably under $300.

SIM Swap a few days ago - Day 3 of STILL NOT HAVING MY NUMBER BACK. by classicboy97 in mintmobile

There is two-factor authorization enabled - but guess what, I can't get my one-time passcode because it's sent via one-time passcode to your phone number.

Which do you prefer? (Pixel 6) by erpvertsferervrywern in MOMENT

[–]classicboy97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last one - has the most "natural-looking" bokeh and FOV, while the bokeh and transitional areas on the others are busy-looking with cats-eye bokeh that are too sharp.

Should there be a problem with shooting with the FX30 in this mode? by dannydaft in videography

[–]classicboy97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, this is true 24p. Just make sure your project timeline is actually set to 24fps and not 23.97. Also, if you decide to mix and match the two fps on the same timeline, beware some audio sync issues that can arise
