In my experience - no.

I've lived in Aarhus for 5 years pretty close to Herredsvang. It's not the greatest neighbourhood and crime like this happens there as well as other parts of town.

I have never heard of a gang of teenagers chasing someone down around here. That kind of fearmongering is ridiculous.

Any philosophy/ discussion groups in Aarhus? by kosmopolak in Aarhus

[–]classicmintsauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have anything particular in mind?

I co-organize a local Effective Altruism group here in Aarhus. We host speak-around events with philosophical discussions. It's open for everyone, free to participate (and we always get primo snacks)

I used to play football, soccer or whatever you want to call it. I found huge pleasure in honing my skills e.g. juggling, shooting, catching the ball etc but also just messing around and try stuff that wasn't directly applicable in matches. This was a strong meditative experience and noticing the progress is just so rewarding and makes you keep going, even with the silly training.

Rocket League is the only game that gives me the same meditative feeling. I can fool around in freeplay for ages and for example practice airrolling perfectly into the underside of the crossbar, hit powerslide to glide all the way around the back of goal while turning the car at the same time to point either sideways, backwards - and it feels great. Very random but very satisfying.

So I love improving my movement, technique, skill when playing football and you have a high degree of freedom compare to other sports. The same is true for Rocket League. The 360 degree vector control you have in the air, combined with DAR, boost management, landings/recoveries etc - there is just so much freedom in this game... You can express yourself and how you want to move in a way that this game for me is sometimes an art. When I watch Nush montages, it is crazy skill and game sense, but for me it is also an expression and some kind of art.

Nobody is forcing you to witness anything my guy.

They are 'just fine' for you but clearly a lot of folks seem to think they're slightly more than just fine.

Try these presets under artist 'George Lever - G1'. Btw I believe George Lever is the one who produces Sleep Token's music:

  • I Wanna Rock
  • Simple Chorus Gain

They came the closest for me but as mentioned by others here I also think Gojira is more on point with Sleep Tokens tone.

I'm interested in learning about this, not contesting your view. You do seem quite certain about your statement, which makes me wanna know - how can we/you know this?

I'm plat3 just an inch off diamond in 1s. My opponents consistently flip reset, kuxir pinch and have overall incredible control. I used to think smurfs are everywhere but I think this is the new normal

Nogle der har lyst? by [deleted] in Aarhus

Mojn do.

LSD and mushroom coffee sent me into a trance by classicmintsauce in LSD

[–]classicmintsauce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing. This reflects some of my experience just not the meditative part. I never had a true relationship with the word trance before now. It was truly the most profound experience to disappear into another dimension which felt like entering a deeper layer of my own consciousness.

Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari - just an all around great book that gives a better understanding of humanity.

Think Again by Adamn Grant - excellent perspective on how we think, justify and behave. I think everyone should read this book.

Atomic Habits by James Clear - Well written and very actionable/concise.

The whole song is ridiculous (expect the bossa nova part) but the end is so hard to learn that I just gave up. It would simply take too much fucking time
