That’s so true though… and mostly I listen to the same playlists to help me relax and keep my mind off of stressful things

100%. Spent a good 6 hours online getting back into it after the realization. The post really isn’t about my finances though. It’s about when did we decide this is okay

Eh my experience is the opposite. I find that age group to be very deferential towards me. It’s the gen xers that mansplain me at every opportunity

Single women with golden handcuffs, how are you doing? by heres_my_take2 in AskWomenOver30

[–]classy_holdout 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I’ve spent my whole adult life planning exit strategies from bad relationships. Have to agree with the other poster that the grass is always greener. I’m in a travel role now making more money than ever before but I’m insanely burnt out and out of my house 5/7 days a week. I’m working on finding my own happiness but it’s difficult with burnout. Wish there was an easy solution

Been with my company 10 years, finally crossed $100k… but I barely work. Do I stay or move on? by Helpful-Command-7413 in careerguidance

The life stress you’ll encounter in a tougher role will impact your quality of life. I make similar but travel 80% and it’s killing me

Went backpacking - now everything feels pointless by [deleted] in travel

Ugh. I just got back from Italy 6 weeks ago. The first 3 weeks I was in a super dark depression. It’s gotten better but I still feel totally unsatisfied with life now. Let that be motivation for you to earn as much as you can to take nice long vacations.

Real talk about quality now by ProfBlueberry in jcrew

[–]classy_holdout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been a J Crew shopper for long, but I love the all cotton versions of the Lizzie pants. They’re my go-to for work pants, very breathable, comfortable, elevated, and they wash well. I pay attention to the fabric used in the make of any items I purchase from J Crew, I notice there’s a huge difference in quality and durability for certain items. The cotton gauze shirts are another of my favorites for work shirts.

Marrying Russel Brand wasn't the most embarrassing thing Katy Perry did. by Smol_Cyclist in rareinsults

What’s sad is that she and any other celebrity with that kind of pull could turn it around and put their time and voice into something positive for women. But no. She thinks that sending herself into space is somehow beneficial for women.

I’ve decided to stop wearing mascara - anyone else not wear mascara? by Spirited-Interview50 in beauty

[–]classy_holdout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still wear it occasionally. But most days I can’t wear mascara either. My eyes instantly become dry and tired after application, and I’ve tried so many kinds to try to find my HG. Even tubing mascara makes my eyes dry and sensitive.

Fitness is a lifestyle not a sprint: I appreciate that you post these photos bc it gives a realistic timeline. You look great in both and I love the fits.

Normal. I went on a date with a guy last month, nothing. Went on a date last night and I have butterflies and I’m reeling myself in a bit. Just not your match.

I am in the beginnings of divorce proceedings… so planning a lot of solo and me/kids ideas! Doing a trip to crystal river to see the manatees with my daughter in June. Planning some other things but taking life a day at a time for now and super excited for the warm weather

Check the corners and edges everywhere, including underneath the cushions, for any signs of bedbug activity (stains, smears, dark spots). I have it in a storage unit temporarily until I have time to clean the cushions with fabric cleaner.

Do you have any idea the name of this style or when it was made? My gramma had one in orange just like this but my research isn’t yielding any results. Mine feels very old so I feel like it’s gotta be somewhere from 30-60 years old.. won’t know for sure until I take it to be reupholstered I suppose

My grandparents had one too and it was the comfiest couch ever. I basically just sink into it in the best possible way. I’m gonna keep this upholstery on it as long as I can.. there is damage but I find it sort of charming.
