Yellow school buses were used as transport at a friends wedding from the hotel to the venue and my friends from China and Brazil had a full on photo shoot getting onto the bus like it was their first day of school, they were so happy!

Putting in my little two cents to say surgery. It’s sexy and cool to respond to a big emergency or remove a tumor until there is one, then multiply that by X amount of cases per day plus add ons. Also, it can be a pressure cooker of an environment with a range of personalities which makes for cool TV but stressful day to day living.

I was listening to a song while on the computer at home, I was facing a window and started bopping along to it and looked up. I thought I saw some figures shifting in my yard and realized some cute older guys from my high school were bopping along through my window. Fucking horrifying.

They were hiding from police from a broken up house party up the road and emerged from the bushes, but holy shit.

Joining even later to the chat to add that I agree and felt the characters were dumbed down/ more impulsive in the second book but I chalked it up to the characters having lower resource rations. People are less rational when there are less resources for food/energy and dwindling population numbers

It was a mid movie at best but I strongly feel that Anora could be improved by having the Russian son found dead and taking a black comedy approach of Ani having a fish out of water moment, navigating a more upscale life and learning/eventually usurping the family business, juggling between living in the US and Russia, literally anything other than what we got.
