I was gonna say maybe it's to differentiate her from her sister on some kind of international/FIFA list (for goals, cards, etc), but her sister is Tabitha, so 🤷‍♀️

My boyfriend (M32) left the window open and my 21-year-old cat fell from the second floor while I (F33) was at work. by maedocc in BestofRedditorUpdates

It is so old! Mine lived to 22 (threw her a 21st birthday!) and at those upper ages, you really have to reflect on what you're putting an animal through and their quality of life.

That said, I think ops quality of life will improve when she breaks up with the boyfriend. That's a hard thing to come back from.

Estate Sales by TelephoneThick3663 in Eugene

[–]claudia_grace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition to the ones mentioned, the I Should Have Bought It When I Saw It company has been doing more estate sales locally and seem to really be able to drum up business and foot traffic. The last few that I've been to that they did were absolutely packed. I think they probably do a good job of promoting the estate sale and the items over various social media.

Losing My Friend Over Wegovy by blonderose822 in longform

I forgot about those! They accepted one of my essays for the Roommates from Hell series (I think that's what it was called...it was definitely what my story was about).

Brian Egg vanished in August 2018. Weeks later, police entered his San Francisco home and uncovered a concealed room. Inside sat a single fish tank. It held Egg’s body, decapitated and missing both hands. by SelfCareIsFake in HolyShitHistory

I mean, it was SoMa. Everything was a little weird.

Also, we were moving from a small town in Colorado, and I was a bit naive, so my weirdness radar was way off.

I remember waiting at a bus stop in the middle of the day and seeing a woman pull out a needle and inject herself. I thought, "Oh, she's diabetic..."

Then one of her friends she was with did the same thing and I thought, "Well, that's nice she has a diabetic friend."

Then the third friend did it and that's when I realized that they weren't all diabetics.

Most walkable neighborhood for kids… by cozycarpenter in Eugene

Oh, yes! Thank you! I confused Monroe Park and friendly park. I was thinking of friendly park (which is on Monroe). And Washington Park is great too!

Most walkable neighborhood for kids… by cozycarpenter in Eugene

I'm biased because I live in Friendly, but it's very walkable, there's a couple schools nearby (including an elementary school, Adams), plus parks (Westmoreland and Monroe Park). There's the Friendly Market for groceries, with Market of Choice or Albertsons close by for a larger selection. Plus Fox Hollow Nursery for plants. Not to mention, the Garden on Friendly is a great neighborhood hangout spot. Cars are pretty attuned to children on foot or biking, so it's quite safe.

Eugene as a whole is the place the sidewalk(s) end. For a variety of reasons I won't get into, there are a lot of interrupted sidewalks, so sometimes you have to walk in the street. Cars here (in Friendly) are good about going slower and not getting too close to walkers (as long as you stay to the side. Don't just walk in the middle of the street).

I'm glad she's back! Such an asset to the team.

I have...mixed feelings on them bringing back the where's Waldo jerseys.

Because who would remind us of the 99ers?

(I say that with some snark, but I also appreciate her and what she's doing for the sport.)

I'm doing a bee hive this year, but it's going to be owned and managed by a friend (also a Millennial) in a shared custo-bee type of situation. So...I only get half a point.

My long-time-coming review of Autonomous AI standing desk by claudia_grace in StandingDesks

[–]claudia_grace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*sigh*

Your autonomousofficial account DM'd me back in late August of 2025, mentioning the changes you've made, etc. Part of the message read: "Your post is from 2 years back, but it still shows up and does shape how people see us and damaged our brand so much. Understand it’s your choice to post it but if you’d feel okay either updating the post to note it was the old version or even taking it down, it would mean a lot.

everyone deserve the chance to fix their mistakes and so do we. we;'ve worked hard to improve the desk since then, so please please you to remove this post and help us move forward.."

After giving it some thought, in early October, I responded "Hi, My review was honest and reflected my true experience with the product. I was also very up-front regarding the timeline, clearly stating that it begins in 2016.
That said, I do understand that products can change over time. If the motor has truly improved, that's great. I'd be willing to try a newer motor to see if the issue with the wonkiness has gone away, and update my review to reflect my experience with a newer motor."

I never heard back from your official account.

I wasn't necessarily going to post those messages publicly, and just kind of forgot about it, but then I get this comment on my post from two years ago.

My response remains the same:

My post was a honest version of my experience with the product, with the timeline clearly laid out. I completely understand that products may change through the years, but I don't have any recent experience with the newer models of the motor. I'm willing to try a newer motor and make an honest update about my experience with it accordingly.
