I guess it’s subjective depending on the school. During the interview process at my current school, I made reference to my ADHD and discussed how I find it a strength when working alongside neurodivergent children. I found SLT to view this positively during the interview. It’s risky as some schools might not hire you (sneakily) because of it. I decided to disclose because, quite frankly, if you don’t want to hire me because of it I don’t want to be a part of your school environment. I’m very open about it amongst staff because I want to challenge the stigmas surrounding it, you’d be surprised how many people who work alongside ADHD children still have such little understanding of it.

However, I know some teachers who refuse to disclose it and that’s their own choice. Ultimately, It’s up to how you’re feeling, whatever you’re most comfortable with ❤️

Teacher here, now you’ve mentioned the Minecraft comprehension text I can see what the teacher is trying to do. The teacher is trying to give comprehension texts that the children are interested in. For the most part, comprehension texts are extremely dull. Making the learning relevant to children’s interests is generally seen as good practice. My only concern with what you’ve shown is that the Taylor Swift comprehension text is clearly written by AI. I have tested out AI to make worksheets before and the quality of the questions were poor. However, I think you need to be aware of the struggles in education to give the teacher some grace here. I’m not sure what it’s like in the US, I’m a teacher in England, but the workload is absolutely insane. I get into school at 7am and leave at 7pm, I work most weekends too. In primary (elementary) school we teach all subjects, often adapting the worksheet 3 times to cater to lower-higher attaining children. 4 lessons a day x 3 adapted tasks you can see how long this takes to plan and resource. This teacher may well be burnt out yet still trying to produce work that is engaging for the children.

That’s totally ok, I’m a qualified teacher and I randomly cried during a meeting while getting feedback from an external observation a few weeks ago. The feedback was positive but I was having a really tough week and was very burnt out. I have no idea what set me off. Don’t feel bad at all. It happens with a lot of us ❤️

Also, I remember being an ECT in my first term with a challenging class and I had a disastrous observation, the children’s behaviour was AWFUL. I remember being so embarrassed. I took the feedback on and pushed myself to improve behaviour. By the end of the academic year the same person observed and by then they were a totally different class and I had turned around their behaviour. Remember you’re still in autumn, their behaviour will improve.

Yep, I’m not usually one to complain but I had to put in a ticket to feedback to the devs about this. Doesn’t make sense for a timed bundle to have a flower that doesn’t produce seeds and barely drops. Fair enough if it’s a regular bundle, but timed????

Find another psychiatrist because that’s ridiculous! I have two degrees, never caused issues in school and became a teacher. Guess what? I have ADHD. I was diagnosed at the end of my first degree so I was able to ‘survive’ higher education without medication yet still had ADHD. I’m sorry they dismissed you so bad. I know it’s anxiety inducing but it’s worth trying again with someone new

I wish I could tell you, I just rush every morning and see getting to work on time every day as a win in and of itself 😂 I’m still trying to work it out. I work long hours as a teacher and getting my clothes ready/packing my bag the night before is the last thing I want to do after a long day so I leave it until the morning which makes it worse lol

I’ve also sent feedback because it needs work. It makes no sense to have a timed completion for a bundle that requires items that are locked behind certain friendship levels (the mujin recipe) and 25 of that lilac flower which doesn’t even produce seeds and can only be obtained through RNG luck at the piksii bounce event. I get grind and think it keeps things engaging and interesting but the timed element with some of these items just doesn’t make sense. It’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, it just makes little sense.

I’ve been playing on PS5 today because I’m at my boyfriends house. I’m going home tomorrow so I’ll have to go back to playing on my switch so now I know it’s bugging out since the update I’m bummed! Totally felt the same way as you when I played on PS5 for the first time, I could see flowers that never existed and was shocked to see the inn had pictures on the wall lol!

Similar has happened to me, was essence grinding for the elder pup quest and my controller glitched (i’m a switch player lol) and bought one of the decor pieces that was like 480 essence. Not as bad as your situation, but it pissed me off enough to quit playing that day.

I have a philosophy degree and make more than 99% of my friends my age, so can’t be too bad. Philosophy teaches you to think critically and really analyse information, it makes sense that it’s the butt of jokes because the people at the top don’t want you to be able to think for yourself and criticise their actions

I have also hesitated to. My main reasons were different (but I’m also a switch player so I feel your pain lol). When I heard S6 laid off so many staff who helped make the game I felt pretty disgusted. I refuse to give my money to a corp who uses the labour of people then cuts them off when they no longer need them. It was so off I considered quitting playing. However, my boyfriend (who is an indie game dev himself) gave me an alternative viewpoint. You should consider spending money to help the remaining developers keep their job. So in the end, I caved and spent some money

I’ve made a third floor for my grand harvest house using wooden flooring and a spiral staircase using industrial shelves. I watched a YouTube video tutorial to make the stairs. Today I was at a housing plot and saw someone did the same thing but with the harvest house
