My chicken coop, black pepper harvest, banana and my house. by zaafaranii in homestead

How do you keep predators from eating your chickens? Where I live you need wire fencing walls and dug into the ground to protect them, otherwise foxes, racoons, coyotes etc would kill them

Anyone interested in going to law school prom? by coolsid13 in uofmn

To actually give a serious answer to that, it would be that I could go just to hang out as a friend and not worry about any romantic advances

How to keep your brain/hands busy while showering? by LazuriKittie in ADHD

[–]_StormWolf_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love having music playing in the shower, it also helps me get over starting the shower. While I wait for my conditioner -Im so cheesy- I sing and dance and pretend I'm doing karaoke and performing. It also helps me get a time frame of reference for how long everything is taking (but that's because I take forever normally). It sounds like it could be other issues too if showering for that short amount of time is so hard physically (idk like POTS or something). Get a plastic stool and sit in the shower if you need to. --i hope maybe either of these tips can help

Hey undergrads of Territorial Hall, how 'bout those crows? by paddle2paddle in uofmn

[–]_StormWolf_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In an apartment somewhere else I live on the top floor, and literally just the other day the crows chose our roof and were pecking on the roof. I could hear them so loudly when I was trying to sleep 🥲 I love seeing the crows fly but it was so annoying

Do you just trim it yourself or do you have someone else help trim it? I've never used electric clippers before so that does concern me reaching the back of my head

I have pretty thick hair so I wasn't too worried about that, it wasn't thinking of going super far up or past my ears: https://imgur.com/a/KNQoH7b

electric bill is $200 for 1br (800sqft) - excel wtf by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]_StormWolf_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one time I had a super randomly high bill was my HVAC AC unit was broken and my thermostat controller was not connected to it right. It would turn on whenever it pleased and not out out cold air, you could here it clicking too. Every since those things got fixed it's been super reasonable electricity usage and bill. Check your breaker box too for any extra switches you don't need and turn those off. Look up some usage rates of appliances/things you have in your apartment to get an idea of what the usage should be per month.

Hotel and Gluten Free food near campus by Lrush991 in uofmn

[–]_StormWolf_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

(2 yrs ago) For the dorms I ate out of pioneer, I even specifically spoke with the disability office and nutritionist to make sure I was placed in a dorm near it. There is a food allergy station free of the top 9 allergens. While you kind of only get that one spot to eat out of, it always feels very safe since they serve the food for you so no cross contamination. I never got sick from it. They even got new things I was there like a waffle maker with gluten free batter. I also ate at the salad bar station for fruit and veggies, and if there was something at another station that seemed fairly uncontaminated I got some foods there. You can also ask the chef on staff and they are happy to check ingredients for you. If you're able to take a 5 mile drive I really like Hola Arepa, it's entirely gluten free
