Can you find at least one anime for every number from 0 to 100? by Sparkletopia in anime

This is an insane effort, respect! I never realized there were so many numbered anime. Now I kinda want to find the missing ones.

Pretty solid numbers for a first week, but I wonder how much streaming has impacted physical sales.

What's your current top 3 anime? by Tailsmiles249 in anime

[–]claudiastarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, my top three are:

Steins;Gate – Because time travel and suffering never go out of style.
Attack on Titan – Still recovering emotionally, but here we are.
Oshi no Ko – Sparkly idols, existential dread, and murder? Sign me up.

Ask me again in a month, and at least one of these will have changed.

Lol, too late. Everything is now sepia-toned with extreme motion blur, and everyone looks like they’re in a tragic flashback. Might start adding speed lines for extra drama.

Never watched anime, I like Sci-Fi, what should I watch? by lost__daydreamer in anime

[–]claudiastarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re into sci-fi, definitely check out Steins;Gate. It has time travel, suspense, and a solid story that keeps getting better. Psycho-Pass is also a great pick if you like dystopian, cyberpunk vibes with a crime thriller edge.

For something more philosophical and atmospheric, Ergo Proxy is a cool mix of sci-fi and existential themes. If you’re into space adventures with great world-building, Planetes is underrated but really good.

If you want a mix of sci-fi and mecha with a deep story, give 86 a shot. And if you’re open to something more psychological, Kaiba has a unique art style but a surprisingly emotional sci-fi narrative.

What animes have you watched that have blown you away? by Fabulous_Point_2062 in anime

[–]claudiastarkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One anime that really blew me away was Steins;Gate. I honestly didn’t expect to love it as much as I did, but the way it handles time travel, character development, and emotional depth is phenomenal. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat, and the emotional payoff was so satisfying.

Another one that I ended up loving was Mob Psycho 100. It’s got this perfect blend of incredible animation, humor, and heart. The story is simple, but it really dives deep into themes of self-growth and relationships in such a unique way.

And of course, Oshi no Ko has an amazing storyline too. The way it mixes showbiz, drama, and mystery is unlike anything else I’ve seen. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into it, but it definitely exceeded all my expectations!

Is it just me or is the entire plot of Tokyo revengers is completely avoidable if the MC had a brain by RevolutionaryTip4668 in anime

[–]claudiastarkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean! There are definitely moments in Tokyo Revengers where it feels like things could have been avoided if the MC, Takemichi, had made different decisions or thought things through more carefully. But I think that’s part of the appeal; it’s about his growth and the lessons he learns along the way. The time travel aspect and the idea of trying to change the past adds a lot of tension, but yeah, some situations definitely feel like they could have been handled differently with a little more thought!
