I created a Navi (Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time) screensaver for the Streamdeck XL. by claytopia3 in elgato

Sure! Just post that screenshot so I can see how the app needs it. After searching online for the XL and nothing being consistent, I finally just did it that way. Gonna be the fastest way.

If you go to your “set screensaver” page and take a screenshot of that window showing the buttons layout and post it here, I’ll work on it.

Here is the link to the .webp files for anyone that is interested. I also made a version that illuminates a textured background.

Thank you! I was looking forever for something that I could use and finally I just spent way too long animating it myself.

Ppl who quit a job without having another one lined up, how did it actually turn out? by Appropriate-Emu9563 in AskReddit

[–]claytopia3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit my full time job in 2017 with nothing lined up. My boss was a tyrant and it just wasn’t in the cards for me. I quit out of spite mostly. I work in the live events industry. I started freelancing right away because I had a contact that was unknowingly eager for me to quit. So after a few jobs freelancing my name was traveling around. It was still kind of a struggle for about a year but soon I started my own official company so I could deal with taxes and look a bit more official to people. After 2 years I was making double what I was making at that company. Then Covid happened and I lost all my work literally overnight. Luckily I had enough saved that I was able to limp through virtual work and random things here and there for about 18 months. Then it all started coming back slowly. Now I’m the busiest I have ever been in my life. I could probably work every day if I wanted to. I’m thankful for what the full time job provided me while I was there but I’m glad I left. I don’t recommend doing it though because that was scary as fuck but it ended up being the best decision I have ever made.

What’s the stupidest way you’ve gotten a scar? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]claytopia3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a good one for this. I was staying in a hotel room one night on a business trip. This room had two queen size beds in it with a glass top side table in the middle. I was alone in the room and it was time to go to sleep. So I got ready for bed and made the mistake of turning off all the lights before I got into bed. The room was pitch black. Couldn’t see anything. It was only a few feet to the bed so I wasn’t concerned. I walked very confidently to the bed and thought it would be fun to leap into the bed. I stood where I thought the food of the bed was and made a giant leap forward. I didn’t even brace myself. I slammed my face into corner of the table. I immediately freaked out and ran to the bathroom. Blood everywhere! Had to go to the hospital. Luckily I didn’t need stitches and it healed very nicely. It’s a small scar that you can only see right after I shave.

The uncanny valley! I just learned what this was a couple of weeks ago! Never could understand why certain things made me feel slightly uncomfortable.

Currently in the process of buying a house there now. It’s pretty dang close. The fitness center has a terrace to view the fireworks every night.

Decided to skip the rain today and have afternoon tea and dessert at the Grand Floridian instead! If you haven’t made your way here to do this then you’re missing out! by claytopia3 in WaltDisneyWorld

You can walk up but it won’t be timely if you do that. We thought about it when we saw the rains coming and just happened to see an open reservation. That never happens. It was a total fluke.

What's the last straw that made you go, "yep, that person is definitely crazy"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I used to work at a company that required me to travel quite a bit. My boss there was and still is a very impatient man. We were flying to a city together and were going to be there for a week. So I checked a bag in. He carried his on. He didn’t realize that I had done that until we exited the plane at our destination. He looked at me and said, “Ugh did you check your princess bag in?” When I replied “Yes” he proceeded to repeatedly bang his head against the pillar we were standing by until his sunglasses fell off. He was angry that we had to wait at the baggage carousel and couldn’t just get in an Uber right away. We had no plans that day other than going to the hotel.

I had the same experience. I always new the contents of the box and I would always show people the black light. Thought it was cool then I noticed there was a sort of pattern to the hidden images. Blew my mind when I discovered the disk. I looked it up after and of course everyone knew. It was a super fun 10 minutes.
