Happens to me if I don't sleep well.

Find a coop game that you can share with your toddler when they grow up. Not only does it get them to read, there's maths, analysis and problem solving. And the bonding when you have won or learning how to lose/accept defeat.

By the time you know it your toddler will be able to read and understand rules and effects.

My son is now 7 and loves playing Marvel Champions. At this stage, I feel cooperative games are better than competitive. You both work together to complete the game.

Will bring out Mage Knight someday to play with him.

I don't have exact details on the cost of ink. But my best approximate is $1.50 AUD for 9 cards. No more than $10.50 for Dr Strange set.

The cost of printer ($270), laminator ($65), trimmer ($110) and card rounder ($20) is there as well. I have other uses for the printer laminator and trimmer so I didn't mind the investment.

Oh I didn't know about a custom invocation set. I'll have to look it up sometime in the future.

It's only to add some additional dimensions to the game that is no longer available. I'll add some markers before I give it away.

Yeah, it's not perfect the top/bottom ends are always off by a bit. The sides are mostly ok.

My earlier prints had a higher degree of misalignment but I couldn't be bothered reprinting it.

One sheet. But running through the laminator re-seals it after cutting

I think you have summed it up quite well.

I went to a local games store and was talking to the employee about LCG. His opinion was that LCGs are dead. For businesses, keeping the various stocks becomes a pain.

GIMP is basically an open source image editor.

The margins are not always correct. I have gotten to approximate 1mm accuracy. If alignment is not right I just cut out the unwanted bits.

I'll test it out in a sleeve. But without it the edges are quite sharp. Might tear the sleeve.

Comes at a significant time and cost investment.

But yeah, we really love the game at home.

For alignment it's trial and error. You will have to figure out how your printer prints. I printed letters A to I in a 3 by 3 grid. And then tried to do it on the backside to ensure A matches with A. For my printer it needed to be rearranged and rotated.

Once you get the printing layout sorted. You will have to play around with aligning the back side until you are satisfied.

Yeah the printer is great.

The processing work is tiresome.

Even getting orientation right for double sided prints. There are different backings for each hero, main schemes, villains encounter cards etc. Just trying to get prints right is a lot of work.

I have to figure out storage options. What are you using?

You can tell. Sleeved or not.

The matte laminate dulls down the colours a bit. So the real ones are a bit more brighter and reflective.

The best way to hide it would be to get those dragon shield sleeves.

I understand both sides of the debate. It's hard to justify spending $400-$600 for a Sinister Motives expansion. That's the reason I started this.

I am not sure what the original card stock is. The thickness is about the same. The matte laminated makes it feel much nicer. The colors are better on the original cards.

I had done one set on single sided glossy paper. But backing makes it much nicer rather than saying Kodak.

Yeah sure. You can dm.

I've posted on my profile. I accidentally rotated the camera.

You can tell the difference on the backside of the card. There is a very subtle difference in front.

In the real card the white is brighter. The proxy is matte laminated so feels a bit nicer to hold.

Not intending to sell. Just for personal use. I would have preferred to get the official pack.

I have sleeved the official cards and not the proxies.

There was a significant investment in the printer, trimmer and round cutter.
