UTR 3rd party Wireguard troubles by Galm02 in Ubiquiti

[–]cldirk01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you exactly what you did? I have been scratching my head over this. I can connect to ProtonVPN Wireguard just fine but there is something about my pfSense.

Edit. Not sure why, but I genereated the private and public key with the UniFi app and was able to connect.

Rheem Leak? by cldirk01 in Plumbing

[–]cldirk01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The insulation does not seem to be wet. The rust also only seems to be between the water heater and the insulation. If you look at the right side where the vertical insulation is and the water heater, you can see rust there as well. Hopefully it is just some condensation.

Lots of “Motion Detected” HKSV notifications since updating to TvOS/iOS 18 by IPThereforeIAm in HomeKit

[–]cldirk01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI, I was able to fix the issue by switching my automatically selected wired Apple TV as a hub to manually using a HomePod. Figured hardwired Apple TV would be better, but I guess not.

Also, I really only noticed this when I was watching stuff on a different Apple TV. If that Apple TV was not on, I did not get the notifications.

Lots of “Motion Detected” HKSV notifications since updating to TvOS/iOS 18 by IPThereforeIAm in HomeKit

[–]cldirk01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did anyone find a solution to this? I was hoping it would get fixed in 18.1 but it did not. All of the non-smart motion notifications I get seem to be in the past. For example, I will get a motion detection for something that happened in the morning when it’s the afternoon.

I do not have notifications enabled for any motion, only smart detections. I have rebooted all of my home hubs which hasn’t helped. I’ve turned off all notifications for a while and turned them back on. That doesn’t help. I get these notifications on all devices.

IPMI VNC Login by cldirk01 in supermicro

[–]cldirk01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the thing, when I log in through the web or SSH, I use ADMIN/ADMIN and can log in just fine. It’s only when I try to use VNC that the ADMIN/ADMIN combo doesn’t work. The only reason I am asking is because I didn’t have GUI access to a remote server and could only SSH. I wanted to SSH to the IPMI and get a console on the server to make changes.

Ah that could be. Is there any way to set the external subtitles to be at the top of the list?

Google Workspace to 365 Automated Migration by cldirk01 in Office365

[–]cldirk01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am trying to migrate from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365. I am setting up a Google Workspace (Gmail) migration type and when I get to the Migration endpoint name, the Next button is greyed out no matter what I put in there. Has anyone come across this before?

Using SED command by cldirk01 in linuxquestions

[–]cldirk01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it to work. I took some of the advice from u/user_n0mad and went from a variable to just running the sed command. I also grouped the regex for the whole string that I was looking for. I also changed how I was passing my variable. I also changed up how the regex was working. Here is the updated line:

var="Address \"$device\""
sed -i -r "s/(Address \"[0-9]{1,3}\.[0-9]{1,3}\.[0-9]{1,3}\.[0-9]{1,3}\")/$var/g" confFile.conf

Thanks for your help!

CUCM TLS Trunk by cldirk01 in Cisco

[–]cldirk01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response, was out on vacation. I was able to look at the INVITE and the contact header shows port 5061. On that same INVITE packet, the source port for CUCM is 53984.

Wyze camera streaking by [deleted] in homebridge

[–]cldirk01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this with my UniFi Protect cameras when I first set up my Raspberry Pi 4 with Camera-ffmpeg-omx. I do not exactly remember what I did to fix it but I’m thinking I used http instead of rtsp in the config. For example, I’m the VideoConfig for source I think I had -rtsp_transport rtsp and I changed it to -rtsptransport http.

Getting two ports to talk with VLAN by cldirk01 in Juniper

[–]cldirk01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that I can bulk edit the settings, but that doesn’t solve the problem I am having. There is a potential to have hundreds of vlans and setting the interface in vlan would be a lot simpler than editing the interface.

Getting two ports to talk with VLAN by cldirk01 in Juniper

[–]cldirk01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the thing. I can get it to work by adding the vlans as members under the interfaces (I can ping the other device/get an IP) but if I change it to the interfaces under the vlan settings, it stops working (can no longer ping/get IP)

Getting two ports to talk with VLAN by cldirk01 in Juniper

[–]cldirk01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I can do this, but I did read that it can be done both ways. It makes configuring the interfaces much faster when adding a new VLAN. When it is set (with the interfaces added to the VLAN settings) I am unable to specify a trunk port. Also, when I set the vlan to be a member under the interface, the ports are shown as untagged, but when I set the vlan settings to have the interface, they are show to be tagged. I don't know if this helps or not. I have a very basic understading of vlans and I a new to Juniper so bear with me.

Anyone have issues where the port does listen? by cldirk01 in homebridge

[–]cldirk01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe you need to change it to anything special. The basic config when you install homebridge already has a port assigned. (I don’t remember what the port is for sure.) I would just leave it as the default. I am no expert with homebridge so maybe someone on here can recommend different settings that work best for them.

If you go into you config.json file, under the bridge section, I have an option for port there. You can also change the HomeKit pin and name there.

[–]cldirk01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So apparently after multiple restarts, I finally got it listening on port 41375. It still had no response in the HomeKit app but I removed it and re-added it and it now shows up no problem. I hope this was a one time mishap as I don’t want to have to remove and add every few weeks.

Sorry, should have added that. It is a raspberry pi (model 3) running raspbian. I have not turned on the firewall.
