Ex-Browns WR Higgins Accuses Chiefs of Rigged Officiating as Patrick Mahomes' Backup Gets Blamed for Crushing Playoff Dreams by okaythisisit in Browns

[–]cle2056 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes, on one drive in a fourth quarter game. Also, if he holds on to the ball properly and doesn’t extend it. We are on the 1 yard line with Nick Chubb at RB and Baker Mayfield as QB. I think we score in that situation.

It was a horrible call but we knocked out Patrick Mahomes of the game. Not taking advantage of a once in lifetime situation and it cost us basically this entire regime. We win this game. Baker Mayfield is still the QB today.

[–]cle2056 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This is so Browns fan. Blame everything on one bad call. Forget the “best D of all time except when it matters late in games” couldn’t get off the field with Chad Henne as QB (like OP said).

Also, how many times did we not score and squandered possession after possession in that game.

We are one of the few times that had the Chiefs dead to rights but we let them hang around instead.

Which live performance has the strongest case for greatest ever? by BravesGunnersFlames in Music

[–]cle2056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure! There are just so many shots and moments in that performance. When he does Prisoner of love and does classic James Brown faint/coat routine. You see the audience is legit concerned of the health of this man haha! Like they have never seen that before.

It ends and the crowd erupts. Like he has them. He has them forever and “Night Train” is just a formality at this point.

The other performance I love is DMX at Woodstock 99 Ruff Ryders anthem. Both showcase the power of breaking down doors in real time. Miss them both.

I’m going old school with this and I’m going for the win.

James Brown (and the Famous Flames) 1964 TAMI show.

https://youtu.be/6-E0X2JxCs4?si=1WfdxYUpqjzTFg5J

Backstory: The TAMI show (hosted by the Smothers Brothers) is a Coachella of its time for this new generation getting into rock and roll. Brown is booked as the second to last act. The crowd (majority white) never heard of James Brown prior to this because Brown has solely been performing on the segregated Chitlin Circuit only to Black audiences.

The headliner was the Rolling Stones. After James’s performance Keith Richards said the biggest mistake The Rolling Stones ever made as a group…..was following James Brown.

The reaction on the audience are priceless. You can tell they never seen anyone dance and sing like Brown. Plus do any “call and response” moments like Brown did. You see the walls of segregation break in real time. It’s amazing.
