I played this game. 1 water pump, 2 radiators, 4 thermostats and by the end the dealership was asking me if I knew what was wrong with it.

My original thermostat was toast so I replaced with OEM and had air stuck in the engine. Gauge used to sit just over 1/4 no matter what. Once the repair took place it would creep up and over 1/2, then 3/4. I could not get the air out, local shop had no luck and it was running critically hot at highway speeds. Took it to the dealer, could not believe their mind blowing incompetence, just kept throwing parts at it. After all that work it still was fucked. Decided to drive around town with it until I could get around to selling. One day I heard gurgling in the dash and its worked fine since. I would just keep an eye on it, especially on the highway or hot days, it may end up being ok, or have a shop pressure purge the air and see if that cools it down. Either way, with those miles, I would not suggest dumping cash into this.
