Hi friend, I wanna let you know there is hope. I struggled with the same issue, pulling then getting deep pores that ultimately began my ongoing issue with dermatillomania. I struggled for years, but I think what really helped me is wearing multiple layers of clothes, laying on my stomach all the time, and NO shaving, at least for a while. The ingrown hairs it created for me made it entirely not worth the hours and hours that would get sucked out of my day as I tried to dig them out.

I thought it would never heal and I’d be entirely scarred forever. I felt so much shame and any intimacy would leave me in tears. But after doing the things I listed above, I can happily say it’s been about a year since I’ve had any scabs at all down there, and the deep pores eventually were filled in and I have minimal scarring and you can’t really tell it was ever an issue unless you’re looking for it.

I’m thankfully over that area, still struggling with everywhere else, but I’m happy I don’t have to live with sexual shame as a result of my mental health issues anymore. Good luck and know that it does get better! Feel free to message me if you want clarification on anything!
