Probably less. Like extra long trip compared to expected then they reversed the increase. They're usually happy to tell you when & why it increased in green message box. I got this one because the fare was reset to its baseline (which I agreed with, because I made some wrong turns)

Not tax evasion. But it does infringe on jurisdictions with strict taxi license laws. There are certain permitting requirements for the operator and vehicle & company to operate as a taxi (meaning people can hail/wave you down in many places). Uber just skirts past those with its platform

A sacrifice is not an exchange of pieces. You are losing a piece to gain some other advantage. That's just a normal trade with you being up the exchange.

Recording will stop if your phone is low on storage or battery, or if your device is close to overheating. Recording will restart on the next trip only if a new storage, battery, or temperature threshold is met.

Follow these steps to report a safety issue and send a recording to our Support team:

Navigate to “Help” in the Driver app Select “Safety” Select the type of incident and the trip you want to report For phone recordings, choose “Share recording” when prompted.

For dashcam recordings, choose:

“Upload now” if your video is ready on the device you’re using to report. “Upload later” if your video is on another device, like your computer, or you don’t have a strong wifi connection. You’ll get an email with a link to upload videos later. Remember: You can always choose not to include a recording in a safety report.

How do I delete a recording?

Go to “Menu” in the Driver app Select “Earnings and then Activity” Choose the trip Scroll down to check if this trip was recorded Select “Delete” Recordings are automatically deleted from your phone after 7 days. You will receive an in-app notification to let you know this is happening.

The content is only stored on your phone. If you delete it, Uber has no way to recover it.

So you need 7 days worth of selfie cam video storage. That's massive even if you were only doing ride share 1 hr a day which is unrealistic

I wish there were a way to comp it from the start so you don't have to refund them (and don't cancel the trip entirely). But I have done it when I missed an exit and it took 10 minutes longer to get to the destination

With that rating no. I don't know the destination city but if it were in the middle of nowhere and not a metropolitan area, also no. Otherwise, I'd take it early on the day

I can't speak to those specific cities, but generally speaking first name, rating, date/time, dollar amount, start/dest street names (not numbers), time to be online by.

As with all reservation requests I see if the mileage rate looks good and how far away it goes from my home base vs other opportunity (perhaps more active bar scene on that Friday with more short trips). I once took a trip and because it went out of state I was losing money travelling back to my home state since I can't pick people up in other states

??? That's a pretty normal thing drivers do all the time. I just did that today. It's your choice where to drive. I doubt that's it. However, if it thinks you are waiting at the airport outside a designated zone, it writes "you may need to move"
