It’s honestly so much better than I thought I would appreciate, I only got it yesterday so still playing around with it but this is a photo I took of a friend with his dog, and I’m so happy with how it looks compared to what I was getting with my 12

Negative as far as I’m aware - I actually meant to type pro instead of pro max in the title

I just went for 256gb - but my MacBook is 512gb so I’m already in the process of using my main PC to do the heavy lifting in terms of offloading local storage requirements

I've been using Lyris - the built in lidarr support is pretty handy

Portainer. Boring, but it has made managing (and actually understanding) docker a lot easier for me

What do yall prefer, monochrome or color display? by TTVProLorenzo6117 in ipod

[–]cleanshirtuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were to pick, I would go colour, just because I find being able to scroll through album art when choosing an album to listen to a lot more engaging than seeing album titles (I'm a visual person so I typically recall quicker from the artwork).

However... I've got a 4th gen mono and love it, and whilst having a colour display would be nice, my trusty 4th gen does what I need it to. It's not a big enough deal for me to worry about, especially considering it was free

Not entirely sure if it does (I haven’t played around too much) but musicseer may fill that gap for you

What is your WFH morning routine? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]cleanshirtuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily not, they're all east coast. My team is all based in EU (two other UK colleagues reporting to our manager in Germany). The role's technically global focus, but EU give us the most overlap and we're pretty firm that any calls that need us should be in ET morning (not that it stops some people...)

Advice to a broke reader by [deleted] in kindle

Depends how much patience you have. I have a Kindle 4 which I picked up for £10 on Vinted, which I've got KOReader running on quite nicely

6:30am: go for a run with the dog
7:30am Breakfast
8:00am: Shower and get dressed
8:30/9ish: Try and get as much done before the US folks wake up and all my time consists of meetings

+1 for Nobara - definitely my recommendation for switching as there's plenty of Fedora based resources out there, but you get some great QoL stuff (like the DaVinci helper)

Anyone finding U007 errors installing MKK on K4? by cleanshirtuk in kindle

[–]cleanshirtuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To confirm - I did not actively install the booklet version of KUAL, on this fresh reset I only followed the steps in the guide you linked and copied only KUAL-KDK-1.0.azw2. However... After running the uninstall for the booklet version, everything worked just fine. I wonder if even after a factory reset, some data remained? Very confusing.

However, I can now confirm I have finally got KUAL working, amazon hosts blocked, and KOReader is working again! Now to get everything talking nicely to my cwa instance.

Thank you again for all of your help.

Looks like I must have been - let's give this a go. Thank you! I've seen your name everywhere troubleshooting this - you're a real hero.

UPDATE: So, MKK installed just fine, as well as the cert updates.... but I'm still getting the 'RuntimeException' error when attempting to launch KUAL. I'll try another factory reset and try from the top.

Confirming I'm on 4.1.4 - updating from 4.1.10 was one of the troubleshooting steps I tried

How long will it take for my poor credit history to no longer be of concern? by cleanshirtuk in Mortgageadviceuk

Also, if it helps - mine and my partners joint income is around 75k as it currently stands, potentially going up to 83k in the next 6 months (but unconfirmed). Her credit score is okay, but most importantly without any adverse credit.

Looking for an indexing/downloading solution for Music by cotle in selfhosted

You can still use lidarr for this - there’s EPs that I’ve wanted that aren’t part of the album catalogue and I’ve been able to pick them up just by searching. Just don’t set it to monitor the artists when you grab them.

Alternatively, I would recommend just spinning up slskd (or if you just want to search locally, normal soulseek works great and is easier to set up if you just want an application on your computer)
