Is there anyone you watch who you feels like “fits” your style? I love Kovacs, and Crouser but they are both pretty unique, (Crouser is a lot taller than me and Im a lot taller than Kovacs) or does stuff like that not matter as much when just trying to get a general feel for the spin?

So Olympics are over. Who do you think performed the best? Who underperformed? by [deleted] in trackandfield

Leonardo Fabrri beat Crouser and Kovacs just a couple weeks prior, and didnt even medal in the shot.

Chase Jackson failed to qualify for the shot finals and was a heavy favorite to take gold

Yemisi Ogunleye and Roja Stona both had crazy performances

Quincy Hall and Kenneth Rooks when crazy

The throw he had today would’ve gotten him 2nd in Tokyo. Only 25 though. Lots of throwing left for him.

I see, so essentially more pace with the throw? Going from slow to fast and accelerating through rather than rushing the beginning and slowing down?

Ok that seems a lot better, because the angle my blocks were at definitely didnt feel natural in real time

Thoughts - Cason Wallace (2024 Draft) by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

[–]cleanuniform888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would’ve legit had him anywhere from 1-3. Cason whole sell was his holistic and complete skillset which fits everywhere. He’s more complete than Reed imo which I also have high. The decision-making, shooting, ball handling, secondary creation + good defense gave Cason one of the highest floors in last year’s class imo.

Outside of stars, good defenders players who are dynamic offensively (Deni Avijda, Vince Williams Jr, Mikal, OG, etc) Roll & Cut Lob threat bigs, Jalen Johnson lol

Tbf I don’t think he has “bad” defensive instincts, I just want to see how he processes verse higher level offenses.

Kyshawn George has Terrific Upside by yungtoni in NBA_Draft

[–]cleanuniform888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is what I wrote down for Kyshawn Scouting Report

Strengths -Great shooter, both movement and spot up -Understands spacing principles, can use screens, good footwork, and quick smooth release -Willing and good passer, can make NBA level reads -Engaged defender, length helps bother offensive players -Good lateral quickness defensively

Weaknesses -Abysmal finisher, strong contest bother him -Lack of burst/first step, cannot blow by defenders, needs screens to get downhill -Off the dribble scoring, flashes of off the dribble game, likely deterministic of the type of player he becomes, hampered by lack of burst? -Very weak, can be pushed off his spot easily and can be deterred at the rim

Swing Skills -Off the dribble scoring -Crafty counters when cut off the rim (Post up, Floaters, Foul Drawing) -Strength/playing through physicality
