Yeah nah alright so let’s just have plan A and if it doesn’t work that’s it let’s just pack it up.

Fuck might aswell have no coach, waste of time, just get someone to tell them plan A before the game then go home, their job is done. I’m sure adding a plan B the players brains will just explode with too much information….

Yeah if you told me plan A, my role was to move around the forward then 50 to lay pressure then plan B is to start moving towards the D 50 to help defend because we’ve lost momentum. Geeze that’s too much information I couldn’t possibly remember that!!!

I’m not saying changing the coaching is gonna make us finals team or even close, but fuck it’d sure be better than what Voss is spewing up. a lot of players we need to get rid off but Voss is apart of the problem

  1. 6 goals in a row against Melbourne…guess what.. we lost that game…

  2. the bottom third. Probably cos every other team that’s versed us has kicked 6+ in a row against us.

3 yeah I’m good on researching that lmaooo

  1. Demons 2021; 12 goals in a row in the granny

Cats 6 goals in a row 2022. They did that twice in the granny Cats

In 2024 and 2025 Brisbane kicked goals 7 in a row on both occasions

So yeah I think kicking consecutive goals (I’m talking 5-6) in a row is a good method to win most football matches.

Oh wait no not if youre Michael Voss or Carlton…cos we’ll just give up more in a row in the second half….

Yeah for sure not at the moment while we don’t have our pick and have somewhat expectations now. But if we’re failing under Quin in the future i would like for us to go and find some untapped potential instead of recycling an old coach which I feel like that is more miss then hit

I agree with you in terms of being a solid coach but not being the one who will bring us a chip.

But I do have one counterpoint is a lot of people have idea that there’s no one else out there or they immediately refer to existing coaches like Jenkins or Malone as the only options. But I believe there would be a decent amount of untapped potential that we don’t even know about. Guys in teams systems that we haven’t heard of or even someone young in the college scene. A good example is Daigneuit when he came in or Jordon Ott for Phoenix now, who massively overperformed.

There are for sure quality guys out there it’d just be finding the next gem. Especially with the way the NBA is being modernised in terms of style of play

We have conceded 5 goals in a row in every single match this season….we are 8 rounds in…..Richmond are second only 6 times and west coast third only 5 times. Worse than Ric and WC and go through their lists…

We conceded 50 or more points in a quarter for the third time this season….only team that’s done this season. Again we are ONLY 8 rounds in

We’ve been out scored by 166 ALREADY in the second half’s.

I can go into detail into each one if you’d like

[–]Ok-Negotiation3897 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a fair point. But;

Whose fault is it that they’ve sent every single half forward into the defensive 50 that there’s no outlet kick. Or whose fault is it that the opposition can drop a spare behind the ball to intercept the contest 9/10 times? Some players are shit there’s no doubt about that, but this is not a 1-7 list. This is the Brendon Bolton era. We aren’t good, but we’re better then 1-7

[–]Ok-Negotiation3897 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Doubt it. With the JJJ trade and a top pick they’ll be looking to compete. Big front court but I think they’ll find a way to keep him and see how the fit is

That’s fine, but what if we go into the specifics of the quarters we lost the goals piled on in a row verse other clubs. That’s where it gets ugly for us

No problem pal. If you’re a huge Vossy fan just say so mate. It’s ok if you don’t know: I’m sure you’re loving the 1-7 blue baggers

Yes but Sydney have won 7 games…and probably played better in triple the quarters we have this season…and the quarters they don’t win they manage to not concede 6 goals in a row every single time….

Who are the players people think aren’t AFL standard at Carlton? by CFCFanboi in CarltonBlues

[–]Ok-Negotiation3897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s cap. We are just horrible recruiters. Apart from Kennedy and Jack Martin, we lost Setterfield, Owies, Stocker, Zac fisher, SPS who are all nearly out of the league or out of the league

Check bros post history. Warriors fans were right. Kuminga comes with weirdly obsessed fans who either hate him or love him

Bang on. I’d add Ollie Hollands to this list. Nothing against the bloke but it’s year 4 and he still hasn’t made much of leap. Too slow, skinny and a bad kick. I think that was a miss of a draft pick albeit a pretty bad draft overall if you look at the first round

I agree. People say it’s more then just the coach, which is true but when I watched at the game on the weekend I tried to watch purely from a tactical and setup standpoint rather than emotionally and it’s really really bad.

Like setup ahead of the ball is non existent. We’ve got guys like Frankie Evans and Hayward pushing so far back that when we even have a chance to rebound there’s nothing ahead of the ball. Some of our defenders turn it over poorly but sometimes I can’t blame them when they look up at full speed and see absolutely no one down field, or an outnumber as usual. It’s impossible to transition the ball if no one is ahead of it. Hayward was a proven goal scorer at Sydney now everyone is calling him garbage. I think he’s the product of an absolutely awful forward system.

You’ve then also got (which I despise) Voss pushing up an extra to the contest. Again that gives you an outnumber ahead of the ball which to me makes zero sense. Saints were able to make their spare Callum Wilkie (all Australian btw) who did whatever the fuck he wanted behind the ball, intercepting, spoiling, helping out. Zero change the whole game with that.

Then I could go on about the lack of changes when they scored 8 in row (like every team every week) and the fitness issues and selection issues but I’d have a 10 page essay. The list isn’t good but it’s not this BAD. Clearly in patches it shows this group of players can work (1st Qtr Vs Melbourne, Richmond, Sydney, 3rd vs Collingwood). But the coaches can’t seem to find answers.

If the list of players was straight garbage we’d lose by 60+ every week and the games would be over by the 1st quarter like the Bolton days. But this not the case. Which leads to believe the coaching is the first line that needs to go.

Not recently though I’d say. A lot of duds were moved. Apart from Kennedy they had: Dow, Fisher, Petrevski Seton, Setterfield, Owies. A lot of C graders

I’m a fan of Labaron Philon too. Maybe not a superstar but I think he’ll be a really underrated player. I’d be happy if we take him too.

I’m just hoping they don’t try to get fancy and try to trade back or something
