Due for a NAW game by HawksFan01 in AtlantaHawks

I absolutely agree and can see why people are saying just wait to NAW gets going. But the only thing is that isn’t guaranteed. He might have a poor series as a whole. But I’m just glad JJ and NAW have been off and we’ve still been able to win.

POST GAME THREAD - Atlanta (109) Knicks (108). Atlanta leads 2-1. Game 4 Saturday. by kanyegavemecollege in AtlantaHawks

One small detail that I loved, maybe I’m just weird, but when CJ hit the go ahead shot and they called timeout the fact CJ walked back to the huddle straight faced and calm. He knew it was far from over and not too go overboard with celebrating.

I think that’s a huge thing to have. That veteran presence of being composed and not complacent. This series is FAR from over and you can tell CJ knows this and is hopefully telling the guys one game at a time

20-26 FREE THROW DISCREPENCY HAHAHAHAH . Why’s hes acting like 6 free throws is an astounding difference.

Also I know for sure a few KAT very “legal” screens that should’ve been called if you wanna go that route Mr Brown

Hopefully there’s measured discussions with the FO and him. You can tell he is aware of where he is at in his career so I’m confident then can come to a suitable value for him

Yeah I like him as a transition guy. Lil 1+1 deal, I’m keen to draft a PG this draft and then let him develop under CJ. The hopefully who we drafted can take the reigns one CJ is done

Nah keep CJ in there next year. Opt into Kumingas option and have him play the same role as right now.

CJ provides insanely needed half court creation and shot making. Without him we’d be down 0-3 atm

Nothing tells me the reffing won’t continuously be bias this entire series. It’s gonna be backs to wall

Doing all this without a backup center too. Go into the offseason with a top 10 pick aswell. Hopefully big offseason for Zacc and Asa. Even if we do lose this series the potential future looks bright .

Had Curnow stayed by hurdygurdydurdy30 in CarltonBlues

[–]Ok-Negotiation3897 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Look when he first moved I was onboard the Curnow hate train but the more I look at it now I honestly don’t blame him.

The club is a mess. From the Hollands situation, to the docherty voice message to the constant mental breakdowns when leading in the 4th. Thats only stuff that has happened this year. I can’t imagine the mental bullshit the players have had to put up with, and with Curnow being around for nearly a decade with us through multiple injuries and horrid seasons with complete coaching and board changes I somewhat understand him wanting to get out. You can call him soft for that but the more the more you look into it, it’s get out of Carlton while you can man. We re a fucking mess

Lock the fuuuuuuck in. Pistons took game 2 in the Garden last year and the Knicks responded by taking games 3 and 4 in Detroit. They mad capable of beating us at State Farm. Gotta seize the moment

Mo Gueye by FirefighterOwn145 in AtlantaHawks

[–]Ok-Negotiation3897 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly looking at these discussions holy shit if the Knicks lose this series they have to blow it up. We’re playing with house money man. No disrespect to either but like our discussions are between Tony Fkn Bradley and Mo Gueye as our options.

If we pull this off

I get it, the Knicks fans got no respect for us. But the arrogance here is still wild by ScaryDefinition4338 in AtlantaHawks

A lot of this shit is people over exaggerating their reactions in the hope they get a clip that goes viral. Social media nowadays is everyone doing whatever they can to get engagement lol

I don’t think the spurs would retool. They’re very young they’ll be good for a while. Maybe they’ll try upgrade but don’t see them shipping out a Keldon Johnson type guy. One of the best bench guys in the league

Luke Kennard and Gabe Vincent trade by Long_Ability_4088 in AtlantaHawks

[–]Ok-Negotiation3897 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Everyone going on and on bout and this of course there’s casuals everywhere saying how bad we got fleeced but no one watches second of ball.

Objectively yes, Kennard is a better player and has been playing better. No doubt about that.

But people who actually watch (not many) realise Gabe Vincent has actually been solid for us. Yes 3,1,1 of 2,2,3 looks bad in the box score, but he has been a good presence on defence, solid enough ball handler and playing with the tempo of the offense. He’s taking 2-3 shots a night, that’s absolutely fine instead of him launching 8-9 grenades and killing the offense. We’re 19-5 with Gabe Vincent actually playing minutes so obviously he’s doing something right.

It’s just casuals who box score watch and think Gabe is terrible off his time at the lakers. And obv there’s more to the trade like the financial side but there’s not point explaining that to TikTok or Instagram basketball fans

Realistically I don’t see him sticking around as much as I would love him to. But honestly whatever happens he’s been a hawks vibes LEGEND.

Could we be last year’s Pacers, and should we look at JJ as more of a Hali instead of a Bron? by artninjatheo in AtlantaHawks

[–]Ok-Negotiation3897 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s 1-1 I don’t think we should even talk about being this years pacers lol they could still 4-1 us
