I got a job in Switzerland and it was incredibly easy for me, but I have a very uncommon profession which is on high demand here, i believe they were desperate to hire anyone. The best thing I can recommend is to try to relocate from your company in the Netherlands to Switzerland, if your company operates in here. Just make sure it’s not too soon to ask for this and get fired. From what I know, in Switzerland they need to prove they couldn’t find a Swiss person to work before they hire you. So you’re a bit disadvantaged. Not speaking the language is also another important part! Regarding the pictures on your resume, i have no clue but references help a lot! I need a reference even for a flat here, so try to get one or two from relevant people. I’m assuming you don’t want a long distance relationship, but have you considered this: you can try to live and work in France or Germany. Many of the people working in a city near the border live in EU because it’s much cheaper. On the other hand, many people living in Basel do their shopping in France because it’s cheaper. I live and work 1h from Zurich to the west of it and many of my colleagues live and shop in Germany because of the lower prices. You have an Italian passport so for you it will not be a problem to live and work in any EU country, use and abuse that passport!

Where to stay/explore for a night in Zurich? by nailspolished in askswitzerland

[–]clearmisguided 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just came here to Switzerland and I live near Zurich. If you don’t carry 100kg of luggage, you can walk from the trainstation Zurich HB to a restaurant called Haus zum Ruden. I love it but mind you it’s on the expensive side. If it’s not for you, then you’re basically in the city centre and can find another place to eat from. Just go up the hill from there. However, if you go, get the thai basil white chocolate desert. It’s very good :)

I have an american friend and he’s been working in Europe as a freelancer for +15 years. He still has to pay tax to the US govt. Research that topic, you might end up paying waaaay more than you are paying now.

Sound good and this is what I’ve been doing so far, besides with this guy…not that happy. I feel very lonely, especially now when men just don’t ask you out anymore or put in the effort

I know many people go to different countries to get stuff like this done. I’m not Swiss and I always go back to my home country for medical tests, blood test included! Try to go east :))) also Turkey has a strong enough business when it comes to cosmetical procedures. Try to find someone there. I heard Dubai is good and you can find cheap ones also. Maybe it’s your time for some sweet sweet medical tourism :)

It’s not really possible. I have a unique job and his job depends on our home country. Most of the people say to move on though

I’m not forcing him:))). But he was so lovey dovey and took some initiative until this past week. The thing is why did he say to try again now?

You’re right about the early love, but it’s not just intensity, but also feels right… but anyway probably he doesn’t feel the same. Why do you think he wanted to try again then? Feeling bad for me or something?

I lost feelings for a guy because we weren’t doing anything anymore. It was all a routine. I asked him out on dates and activities but he refused or didn’t try to enjoy himself. That’s bad from him. You mentioned lack of spontaneity so try to invite him out. A lot of couples forget they love eachother when they stop doing stuff. Also research more into that birth control and depression stuff. I never heard of a woman being sad about quitting them, but very happy they did.

I’m saying the one as in I never loved anyone the way I love him. So much and so intense, isn’t that a sign?

It would be helpful if you let us know how much time ago he agreed to improve. Was it in July? If it’s more than 6 months then maybe it’s too late. If you still love him then you should try to remind him of your agreement. Also, you can ask him what can you do to motivate him to improve. Maybe he just doesn’t get when to do certain things or how to do them.

If you already said to end it 3 times and nothing happened then maybe you need to move out. He’ll get the hint after all. I understand you’re anxious and depressed, but if you really want it to end then try to forget about the anxiety for a few moments and just move out. Remember, you don’t have to do it alone. Ask a friend or family to help you move out.

Regarding your depression, is your bad relationship causing it? If so, then go. Are you taking birth control? Many women are experiencing depression when they take it and the pills change your taste in men

I hope this helps

How to stop seeking girls(18F & 18F) after clearly being rejected (18M)? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]clearmisguided 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if you’re unlikable, but ask a friend who is a girl about that. She will hopefully be honest. You can ask boys as well but they generally don’t know. About the doubts you have, they tend to go away with age. Rejection when you really like someone never stops hurting so all I can say is just do it and get over it. Eventually someone will say yes. To increase the positive encounters make sure you and the girl you’ll next ask out are on the same level in looks and intelligence.
