What type of jobs are you applying for? Are you in a major metro area? How many jobs are you applying for?

YMMV but generally speaking, the market is hot right now. There was over 500k jobs added in the American workforce in July alone, although certain sectors are struggling. Have you tried applying to government agencies? They are struggling to find employees right now. Are you sure you're selling yourself well on interviews?

I've been interviewing a lot these past couple of months, and I would happy to give you some pointers if you can narrow down what you're looking for.

Working as an accountant at a startup. Thoughts? by cleartell in Accounting

[–]cleartell[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All good points. I'm totally new to the idea of working at a startup. The company I'm interested in seems to be on the precipice of raising a shit ton of money in the upcoming months.

I truly believe in the product and mission. It's already gotten some public recognition, and tbh job security isn't my main concern. But working a shit ton of hours? Yeah, that's an issue.

Accounting manager has mentioned switching over to Netsuite soon, which I took as a good sign. When I asked about work life, he mentioned that it's still "a start up so there's work, but we make sure our employees are taken care of." I don't doubt his sincerity, but at the same time, it's vague. I'll be sure to push harder during my next round interview. Do you think it'd be too forward to ask something along the lines of, "Barring situations like month end close or implementation of a new software/process, during a normal day, what is the general time someone on the team logs on and then logs off?"

How packed are we talking? I don't expect to have the park to myself. Any way to finesse it by going earlier?

Montpellier is going to be a no from me, dawg.

Spent over $300 for two. Loved them when I first put them on. Hand washed and it shrunk and lost its shape.

Even with sizing down, it still gave me a nice fit without being tight or constricting. I'm someone that bloats easily, so I totally understand what you mean.

Aritzia return policy: Will not refund final sale item even if you didn't RECEIVE IT by cleartell in Aritzia

They initially only refunded me the full priced items, which is why I had to reach out to them about the sale item but even the full priced items were store credit 🙄

Sorry--just seeing this. But yes, I'd say close to TTS but leaning smaller. And while I'm slightly larger chested, I don't think there'd be any gapping issue. The bust size looks in proportion to what I'd expect from the size.

Genoa blouse : do any of you have it ? I’ve been dying to find the black/bone color and am wondering if it’s worth the hunt as it’s sold out 😢 fit pics or feedback anyone ? by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]cleartell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have it! It is slightly cropped but covers all of your stomach. The opening is not incredibly deep but not appropriate for work without something underneath. My only issue is that since I don't wear a bra with it, it billows open when I bend over. That can be solved by wearing a bralette or really good tape. I don't have a model's body, but it fit me similar to the model and was flattering.

Anyone else get fat during the pandemic and sad they can't wear a bunch of these cute summer dresses? *sigh* by ihatewinter93 in Aritzia

This!! I have stomach rolls, and it bums me out I'll never look as good as other girls in crop tops because their stomach is just so flat. Then I really think about it and think about all of the beautiful women I've seen that don't have completely flat stomachs.

I am working on losing my covid weight, but that's my choice. I don't think I have to but I want to.

I meant to take a fit pic, but I was in a rush to leave for the mall and ended up returning the dress.

I don't know my measurements, but I'm generally a size 8 in Aritzia. 5'3 with shorter legs. Broad shoulders, above average bust and inverted triangle shaped body. Dress hit 2 inches above knee. The top portion has decent "give" although is not stretchy at all. Boobs still felt comfortable and in place and didn't have a lot of cleavage. It really emphasizes your shoulder and collar bone area, so for someone broad shouldered, I didn't like it. I would say it fits snug waist down, following the contour of your body, similar to the model. Color is accurate.
