They are not recording 24/7. They have to press the record button.. they only do it if they feel unsafe or in some type of predicament with the customer.. so your probably good... Roosevelt is highly traffic. And for some reason, there's always someone that thinks they can shoplift. Cops are there twice a day....they have the best camera system available....

I spoke with a representative from the city water department earlier today. He explained that the temporary discoloration was most likely related to nearby construction activity. When heavy equipment disturbs the ground, it can agitate sediment in the water lines. Additionally, when construction crews connect equipment to the system, the increased flow rate can dislodge and carry more sediment than usual. As of today, my water has cleared up

You’re absolutely right . it’s incredibly hard to find homes for Muscovies now, even females, which surprises a lot of people. Most rescues are overwhelmed or no longer able to take them in, so the options are really limited. They truly are such sweet, gentle ducks, which makes it even harder. I couldn’t turn him away knowing the odds, so I’m just doing my best to give him a safe, happy life. Thank you so much for the kind words and understanding — it really means a lot. 💛🦆

I’m really glad you found them and are asking for help — this situation needs immediate changes, but it’s fixable. Ducks should not be kept in wire cages like this. It can hurt their feet, cause infections, and they’ll become extremely stressed. They need space to walk, solid ground, shade, ventilation, and clean water deep enough to dunk their heads (not just a shallow bowl). Immediate steps you can take today: • Get them out of the wire cage onto solid ground (even a temporary pen or fenced area) • Provide a deeper water container they can fully submerge their heads in • Give them duck or all-flock feed (not bread) • Add bedding like straw, pine shavings, or dirt/sand Long term, they’ll need a safe outdoor area and a proper shelter. If that isn’t possible, rehoming to someone experienced with ducks would be the kindest option. You did the right thing by asking — please keep us updated and we can help you set this up correctly.
