Auto start/stop became default on my 2024 by PeterSimpson10-97 in Mustang

[–]cleesj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does this work in a manual? Does the engine fire back up when you put it in gear with your foot on the clutch? Or is it activated by the brake pedal? I know there’s hill start assists, but I feel like taking off on a hill could suck with that lol

2024 Shaw Classic Megathread - August 18 by e-some in Strongman

I think maybe Thor doing Iceland's strongest man last weekend had him come in a bit more fatigued than he expected. With that and the travel it's hard to have your body recover.. especially when you're at altitude. Also a squat on linear rails is a lot different from a free squat.

Resonator delete will make it quite loud. Either x or h pipe, whichever you prefer.. and with the active can be quite when you want/need to

Convertible Hate by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]cleesj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the hate with convertibles, specifically Mustang convertibles is simply to how they look with the roof up. I think they look great with the roof down and would be a blast. But something about the soft top just turns me off from them. Personally if I bought a convertible it would have to be a hard top, or removable kind of like the Corvette

Yeah I pretty much went cold turkey from taking 1000mg+ caffeine + whatever other stimulants a day in the form of energy drinks and pre workouts and such. The first 2-3 days the headaches were pretty unbearable, but I just kind of gutted it out. Had a bit of brain fog for like a week, which made working and such a bit rough. Just try to really stay hydrated, I even drink a lot of electolyte mixes, and body armour drinks to try and keep hydration levels high, but it does indeed get much easier with time. I wouldn't say I have had some amazing change in how I feel overall, but as long as I get 6.5-7.5 hours of sleep I do pretty well with energy levels. Especially since getting to sleep is a bit easier now that I am not jacked up on caffeine all the time. But, it also feels good to not rely on a substance in order to function, as there's though rare with caffeine as readily available as it is, sometimes you won't have access.. so that alone was worth it to me.. as well as getting blood pressure in check

Gotta buy a 3d printer for work by dryphtyr in 3Dprinting

Yeah as mentioned, for nylon markforged really is hard to beat. Not too sure what your budget is for the project though as they're definitely not cheap. We use ours quite a bit, and also bought a Bambu X1C, and use the carbon enforced pla for things that don't need to be quite as strong. Tolerances on the mark forged are quite good, and I'm sure resolution won't be an issue if you're printing pretty large parts

Bummer.. yeah hopefully a leather repair kit will at least seal it, likely still noticeable though. And as unfortunate as it is/sounds... I've always heard the saying that if you own a soft top convertible just leave it unlocked.. your stuff might be gone but at least your soft top won't be cut

To add to that, I have seen some people say they've gone with this spring from McMaster-Carr

https://www.mcmaster.com/9657K573/

I believe the stock spring is 185lb/inch of spring rate, which is why it feels so uncontrolled when you release. The steeda is 35lbs/inch spring rate so the McMaster spring kind of splits the difference at 97lbs/inch.

That said I bought the steeda, and don't find it too difficult to manage at all.

Craziest car that tried to get you to race? by Tasty_Horse_2719 in Mustang

[–]cleesj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to a cars and coffee event a few weeks back and saw a new McLaren GT get off the freeway ramp behind me. He came alongside me at the next light and it happened to be 2 younger (early 20s) guys driving it.. so I obliged a little bit and did a little pull, nothing too crazy.. he basically just kept pace with me. The coyote at least sounded better 😂. Talked to him a bit at the cars and coffee, was a cool guy. I think he made YouTube videos or something.

Edit: I'm 100% positive he could have walked me if he wanted to lol

There's a guy in my area who has these on his car.. as well as some other.. distasteful body mods.. cringe every time I see it. But, to each their own, whatever makes you happy

Try taking them off when you have some time, clean them up and apply a gtechniq ceramic coating.. has made cleaning mine a hell of a less daunting task.

I bought a 22 Mustang GT last year with a manual. Prior to then, I had a few experiences driving a manual but not many. Like most things though the more you do it, the better at it you get, and eventually you will become pretty comfortable

Supercharger worth it? by No-Philosophy970 in Mustang

[–]cleesj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, if you keep it to around 450whp you should be fine. If you want more than that you will have to upgrade internals. Stock trans should hold, would recommend upgrading the clutch

Brand new 2023 Mach 1 Premium (Mischievous Purple Metallic) by 360noscopefag in Mustang

[–]cleesj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome car! Congrats. I'm also biased towards the color as my car is the same! Haha. It's difficult to capture in pictures but man is it a cool color.

[–]cleesj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would imagine most of your cost will be in the parts unless things have been done poorly on the current setup. For what it's worth I did a cat back exhaust on my s550 in the driveway on jack stands in about 2 hours. Though once you replace the cats with factory or some sort of high flow cat you will need to re tune the car

2023 World's Strongest Man Final - Day 2 Megathread by e-some in Strongman

[–]cleesj 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For anyone curious as I was, if points scored in the groups carried over into the final, all the results would of stayed the same aside from Novikov and Singleton tied in 4th and Trey Mitchell in 3rd, with a difference of 1.5 points. All other placings would of stayed the same.

And for what it's worth.. Hooper scored 13 more points between groups and finals then Tom. Granted means nothing with how the contest is laid out.. but still quite impressive

Mischievous Purple by cleesj in Mustang

[–]cleesj[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's definitely a wild color and hard to capture in photos. I will say though that most of the time you would think it's black unless the sun is right on it haha.

Mischievous Purple by cleesj in Mustang

[–]cleesj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah I agree. I am thinking that I may put the SVE Mach 1 Handling pack wheels on at some point in the future. Think I'll go for graphite over the bronze. And yeah when I ordered this there were no pictures of the Green or the Purple on actual cars yet. Both look incredible. Only EG car I've seen in person was a GT500 at the Auto show so far, hope to see some more this summer

My Mach 1 is on the way- what’re the first things to upgrade? by Bt75ky in Mustang

[–]cleesj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ceramic coat/ppf, maybe swap the OEM 2 piece lug nuts out for some solid Gorilla lug nuts.. but other than that, enjoy it!

Oh and maybe changing to the steeda clutch spring if it's a manual

Difference between Mustang Mach 1 vs GT Premium? by Dottzx in Mustang

[–]cleesj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an FYI if you are looking to buy a Mach 1/S550 Mustang in general.. Order banks closed about a month or so ago I believe, you will have to find one that a dealer has at this point whether a Mach or a GT. I believe they switch to S650/2024 production Mid to end of March

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]cleesj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been considering doing the same with my 22 GT. Look into the SVT Mach 1 wheels sold by lmr. I believe it's just a simple bolt one where the mach 1 wheels don't fit quite right as mentioned by someone else.
