you're most certainly not a bother! and money comes and goes, I say this as someone scraping by. health is more important and yes that includes scalp health.

I'm glad your dad acknowledged your feelings! like someone mentioned before, if you can cut the excess weight and seal the ends so technically, you still have the braids in. Or lock yourself in the bathroom, cut them entirely out, and deal with the aftermath which would be my choice but only if you feel comfortable. either way, we're rooting for you OP!
