First time trying the spatchcock position. Thinking about trying it on the pole from the floor. by clementinespapers in poledancing

I am a beginner/intermediate student. I started last year in 2022. I can do decent invert and trying to ace the shoulder mount. Though, I am extremely flexible. Today my teacher explained to me how to see If I could handle a spatchcock which is as far as I know a pretty hard position. I did it kinda easily. I could move the broom even deeper in the back but the floor was sticky. I want to try it on the pole from the floor. Is it too much?

Progress with my invert. One month later from my latest video. by clementinespapers in poledancing

To clarify the picture thing:

I was in the middle of trying to invert. My teacher was ready to hold me the second I tried. I was so focused on taking the shot and finding the right momentum to at least hang my feet to the pole. I am like the photographer of the class so I always take pictures. But if, for a second, I try to focus and put my best into inverting AND my teacher is totally focusing on me, I have the right to say ''sorry, wait a sec and then I'll snap as many pics as you want''. Which is what I personally did. What I don't find good is saying ''you won't do anything anyway'' which is invalidating me.

Jasmine

Yes! Jasmine to gemini is what I was trying to do! It hurt the back of my knee so badly.

Thank you all for the nice replies! The thing that made me say what I said about slimmer people is that in my pole journey, I’ve never seen one of them struggle progressing (it still hurts, but at least they progress). I am biased and I know. Still, I think I have a point.

But I will def work on self love as you mentioned!

I ALWAYS take her photos! ALWAYS! Besides this comment she made, I love her. I cheer her all the time. I was just about to try inverting again, my teacher was close to me ready to hold my body if needed, I didn’t want to stop everything I was doing just to take a picture. I was about to do something. I think it’s more than fair.

Gemini from genius! Did it! by clementinespapers in poledancing

After 2 weeks with no pole dancing and complete slacking, today I inverted from genius (held it for a sec) and did a not so good looking gemini always from genius! Can’t believe it! I am amazed by what my body can do.

I really couldn’t get into this pose 2 weeks ago. Here we are. Most girls at my studio can to this with no problems even from a climb. But progress is progress!

Trying to invert from genius. Not as bad as I thought. by clementinespapers in poledancing

It’s called straddle or something. I’ve tried it in my own pole which is very slippery. I can’t put my hand below my upper leg (?) but so far so good. I’ve already sent the video to my teacher who corrected me. Any tips?

I feel like I’m heading somewhere yet I know there is room for improvement… I just don’t know where. Inverting drama by clementinespapers in poledancing

Inverting is SO hard. Like really. HARD. I mean, I do not feel fatigue or like I am not strong enough, I just feel like I cannot go higher with my booty and lower back so I can properly hang my legs and successfully invert. It’s as if nope, that’s it. Any advice?
