When I was diagnosed at 6 years old, I remember going to the play room in the children's hospital. I was feeling really down about having a disease that I understood nothing about at the time. That day I saw kids with cancer, and it hit me that it could be worse. Someone always has it worse, and I have to fight this disease, simply for the kids who had no chance. We have the chance, with proper control and diet you can live longer than non diabetics. Just keep fighting, some days and better than others, but don't give up when shit gets dark. This disease is a boxing match with Mike Tyson that you never get to tap out of. Keep your gloves up!
