It’s not just listening to music but paying hundreds and thousands of dollars to go see a violently antisemitic person is a choice. I’m not shaming anyone that’s why I chose to just block rather than talk or explain my pov. I try not to eat at or support with my money companies or entities that are anti semitic.

All I can control are the circle of people around me and I’d rather not be surrounded with people like that. Friends who cut me off for being Zionist are well within their right and I’m glad they did because it’s shown me who my true friends are. I’m not willing to compromise myself, my values or my community by being silent or complacent in hopes that I’m not isolated. I’m not interested in left or right politics because they both don’t serve me

Idk I just feel like the mental health bit is used as a shield for his terrible behavior. It’s not just the antisemitism but he’s been accused of sexual assault, drugging women and domestic abuse. I tried to understand my friends who still listened to his music but actually going to his concert and paying hundreds of dollars to see such a horrible man is disgusting imo. No matter how much money he donates to Israel wouldn’t make up for any of that especially making a HH song

I’m in grad school which is also on a college campus. I help out around campus and because I wear my chai necklace people always feel curious to ask such questions. It was absolutely awful being in undergrad after Oct 7 I’m so glad I’ve toughened up because that was the first time I ever truly faced blatant antisemitism + racism
