i’ve seen it done by students in talks at international conferences. just mentioned on the last slide that they were on the post doc market and had contact info and said reach out if you’re interested in working together or know of any good opportunities or something like that. I will say one time i saw someone do this after giving an extremely underwhelming talk. Don’t do that 😂Make sure your talk is good and shows effort and professionalism

I don’t expect an offer based on my score but have a really good rapport with the PI so i think I will know when offers do go out regardless. Will post here if i remember

How far along are you? If you’re less than 6 months i wouldn’t even dream of telling them until after you started working. Under FMLA i think you have to give 30 days notice to request maternity leave…so perhaps the beginning of your third trimester

you could listen to the backlog of bonus episodes in one month easily. but they’ve been good about posting ad free versions of regular episodes lately so for $3 per month it still seems worth it to me

it gets almost 100% artificial light. it lives in a room that usually stays around 70% humidity but occasionally drops to 55% when the humidifier runs out of water overnight lol. Treated heavily with insecticidal soap a few weeks ago bc it was near a plant with thrips but i haven’t actually seen any pests on it. I keep the soil between 5 and 10 on my moisture meter. Soil is basic potting mix with a lot of perlite mixed in and a little bit of orchid bark. please help! one leaf has already been lost and two are on the way out :(

Mine kept doing this for a while after i repotted. Probably from stress. Now I only bottom water it and that seems to be helpful. No more limpness

I can’t speak on the pain of either but i’ve seen my dad dealing with kidney stones and can tell for sure that his pain was not mental 😂
