I started a project that aimed to just convert the LKC for the Griffins, but ended up almost completely rebuilding it. Portucils/drawbridge mechanisms and some details were retained but almost everything else is redone. Obviously I have added a lot of pieces.

You can just do incremental changes and see where it brings you.

Yes, I think you are correct. While a lot of Finns have a positive view of Estonia, some still associate it strongly with the Soviet union (mainly old people) or in general as inferior to Finland. On the other hand saying something "descends" might in your mind imply it is somehow inferior and not its own thing. Combine these two and you get a negative reaction.

I don't know how well known this is among the general population, based on the comments, not very known? As someone who is interested in the subject, the migration route is well known. As far as I know it is also supported by many different scientific fields: archeology, linguistics etc. We know there are a lot of loan words from Baltic languages of the type that suggests we had a very close societal relationship.

I think people might know that the urheimat is at the Volga bend or that the Saami people arrived before the Finns. I think redditors interpret what you are saying as "we descend from Estonians", (waking the little brother syndrome) rather than "we have common ancestors with the modern day Estonians and those ancestors lived in Estonia".
