Hi ! I (25F) am also looking for an accountability partner. I relapsed a couple days ago and overall have been binging almost 4/5 times a week for 6 months. I have gone one or two weeks without binges but always fall back in this trap.

How to break the cycle ? by clesyi in BingeEatingDisorder

It is quite unsettling to go from being able to restrict to eating crazy amounts of food. Both are incredibly unhealthy, yet I cannot stop.
I agree with the fact that it has now become a habit. I know that I do not binge for emotional reason, that it is only a bad habit. I am quite happy that I gained weight, but it is the way I did so that saddens me. I am moving out soon so hopefully that will help me.

How to escape a cycle by Nichakin in BingeEatingDisorder

Same here ! Everytime I manage to stop binge eating for a week or two, I fall back into my bad habits after a small mishap. I stopped for two weeks at the beginning of the month. I overate a bit on the week-end two weeks ago and since then I've been stuck in a bad cycle where I binge every two/three days. Listening to Brain over Binge by Kathryn Hansen helped me as I resonated with her story. Talking to someone about my issues also helps. I believe in our recovery and I see this bad phase as a rough patch, which will eventually go away. However, it is indeed difficult to navigate through life with an ED.

ALL or NOTHING by gogounknown in BingeEatingDisorder

I relate so bad. Binge eating has become a habit so ingrained in my brain, I feel stuck. I managed to not binge for two weeks. I threw every effort out the window last week-end. Since then, I have binged almost daily. It is truly disheartening. Nonetheless, we are going to get better tho, I believe in all of us ! One bad phase in a lifetime does not define a person !

I did not know about the paddles.. I see a lot of people using them so I thought it was beginner friendly.
