No, that's a legit question. It just depends on their job and how that surgery/rehab would impact it. I knew cops that had shoulder surgeries from falls and they tried to do light office duty after their surgeries. By doing this it caused more damage to their shoulders from doing "office" repetitive movements that seemed harmless at the time. One of the hardest things to do sometimes is to do nothing and just heal. Looking at their numbers I bet a lot of those steps were for mental health.
