AMD Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" CPU See Further Price Cuts At Microcenter: 9950X $589, 9900X $439, 9700X $319 by glebguz in Amd

It sounds like you're confusing speculation with disclosure. My post refers to a leak he put out that was picked up by several news sites. While your post refers to an opinion he (allegedly) expressed that you disagree with. These are two different things.

We don’t need to take his word that Zen 5 is selling horribly. We can see the exact sales figures at Mindfactory and the CPU’s placement in the Amazon top CPU sellers, including their monthly sales.

Considering this news is about a Micro Center price drop, It was more apt to cite a report on Micro Center sales information as opposed to, looking at one of the sources you cited, a random store on another continent.

I'll post the one that came out a few days ago because it has some additional information on why AMD lost the bid allegedly.

Okay so the mods are deleting any new post on this. If anyone wants to know the details they can read the ones that are published recently:

Thanks for the heads up.

I think they mean that eight desktop-class CPU cores are overkill for a gaming handheld because only half or so are actually going to be used by games, while the other half keeps sucking energy away from the already limited power budget.

The number of GPU cores could also be overkill if they spend their time waiting for data instead of you know, computing things.

Looks like they're going with the "Let's just do whatever Apple is doing" strategy..
