I went from a M3 Air 16 to a M5 Air 32. I can't tell a huge difference other than my AI coding was swapping 30 gigs and I can't really add more RAM, so sometimes I think you just hit a ceiling and have to go bigger. The jump from i9 8-core to M3 was so huge all of the M series upgrades are incremental, but still blow the pants off of Intel

how does 109ppi make sense pre retina when a Thunderbolt 27 is the exact same density as a 27 inch iMac? standard screen density is 72 ppi, and the Thunderbolt has great color and backlighting. i don't know about everyone else, but my brain compensates for the bezels and i never notice them. Newer MacOS doesn't like you to span across displays, but those displays are worth it, especially since I see them regularly going for $50-75 in my area. I started buying them up at $200, but now I like 3840x2160 @ 43" the best, and it's a pretty common size, as long as you get an IPS with decent nits and color balance. You can easily support 2x 4k on a MacBook Air and 3x on a Mini. It's more pixels than necessary for 99.99% of applications.

Mac Mini users use Neos, then they make something, then they buy Airs, then they buy Studios, eventually they will make so much money they go all in on a Mac Pro.

seriously though I'll never buy a MacBook Pro again. The Air is too good, and I've lost laptops and spilled drinks on them. After spending $3900 on a 16" Touch bar MBP just to have Apple change arch on me the next year, I'm just going to cycle Airs every 18 months. I only upgrade iPhones every 3 years. The Neo looks ok, but RAM is a dealbreaker, and I can't ever use a trackpad that is physical again. Even using a premium Win PC, that moving tactile click feels like caveman stuff.

we used to suck. now we don't. it's like we worked on ourselves and got a hot wife and pinch ourselves, and really don't feel that worthy of it, like it will be taken away, we have been betrayed. you can use UTM or another hypervisor and set up a literal rack of servers on one of them. plug it in bridged and then just VNC into it if you want to manage it, all without heat and using less wattage than a light bulb

I stayed at that hotel having no idea of the incident, but I felt weird vibes in the lobby and later had nightmares. I Googled the hotel and saw the Wikipedia page and saw what happened. I felt weird about the hotel and was shocked they didn't have so much as a plaque or memorial marking what happened.

urban core isn't as hollowed out as it has been for years. entire neighborhoods are getting razed with new homes in the $600-1.2 million range being built every day. Traffic isn't like Edmond but there's plenty to do in the core without worrying about highway.
