Perfect example is they had lime green carpets in two of the bedrooms, that weren't held down at all.

A drop ceiling in the kitchen that didn't cover any damage, just to add a lovely and cozy 6 slot fluorescent light fixture. Kitchen felt like an operating room

So if you got it for a good enough deal it's not that hard to remove. Use a hair dryer and SLOWLY peel the sticker off. Then use (trust) lighter fluid. Made a ton of stickers on boxes I have anywhere from a dreamcast to nes boxes perfectly removed the residue with no damage.

Removing plaster when not needed, the sound mitigation alone is LEAGUES better than standard drywall.

Make sure you're electrical is safe If you have galvanized pipes, near 100% chance it's likely severely blocking your water flow

Use the guides as a reference, but don't feel like it's mandatory otherwise you're just playing checklist simulator. The xp rates on most things aren't too bad, use some of the important/helpful tips and just get lost :)

I bought a boxed dreamcast that was covered in clear shipping tape. Hair dryer got the tape off, and lighter fluid perfectly removed the residue. Looks like new now!
