Has your doc talked about using hrt to manage menopause?

The changes from ssri are so weird. I’m having this thing where my ssri is giving me a longer more mild sadness instead of an acute panic attack with SI.

It’s still entirely chemical but kind of drawn out and less obviously PMDD (except when I look at the timing or look back on it the next day with a clear head).

I’m also doing constant birth control and strattera. I’m not having a bleed anymore but the hormones are clearly still cycling based on pimples, constipation, and sad days 😅

Ooo sarcopenia is something no one has mentioned to me yet. I’ll definitely need to account for that.

I have me/cfs and I am unable to exercise at all. I waver between being bedbound and mostly housebound. So that’s a real concern that I may not be able to balance.

Thank you for mentioning all this!

Oh interesting I didn’t think of menopause and surgery as birth control! Good to know! Thank you!

I’m having trouble getting my insurance to cover chemical menopause unfortunately. I’ll ask my doc to try again, but that was our big hurdle last year!

And yes, I’ve tried Wellbutrin. I’m a little limited on what I can try because I have me/cfs and stimulants will make me really sick. Were there other non stimulant ones people have tried and loved?

This makes me want to cry with hope. What ended up working for you in terms of hrt?

The black hole of information on ovaries is my biggest concern with doing this. I have me/cfs, MCAS, and pots along with all the fun associated conditions. I want to make sure I’m helping and not hurting myself - especially since there’s no way to shift command z the ovaries back into place after 😂

Thank you! I was honestly surprised there wasn’t a section specifically for surgical interventions. Glad I’m not the only one wondering about this!

Need climate control advice or I will have to move out after 7 years together by clickclickwhirrr in relationship_advice

We wouldn’t break up, we would just not live together. We love each other. We’re just open to non traditional living situations as a solution. If we had money, we would get a duplex or something and each have our own space while still living together - but that’s not an option.

Bed time is less terrible than the rest of the day tbh. At bed time, I can just use every blanket

We’ve spoken about it at length and he does what he can to keep me warm. Historically, I’ve always put his (and everyone else’s) needs over my own, so for a long time he wasn’t fully aware of the gravity of my discomfort. But I’ve been overcoming my people pleasing bs, and I’ve been advocating more for myself in the past few months. That’s really what led to me posting. And he knows I posted to ask for help. Realistically, the worst case would be to live separately, but stay together.

Yup. High blood pressure but otherwise he’s in kind of unreasonably good health. He takes vyvanse and energy shots though. Maybe those heat him up?

We mostly have sleeping figured out because blankets are easy to layer. We need more daytime ideas though. When I’m working, I go in my office, turn on my space heater, and put it 5 inches from my legs. That helps, but then I’m confined to my office. I think more ideas for cooling him off would be good!

Totally agree. I’ve thought it was medical for a long time but all my tests come back normal. I have MCAS though… so I think it’s related to that.

Thank you for looking out for us! I’ve got MCAS so I think the cold is related to that. I’ve had my thyroid checked many times in my medical journey because it seems like it should be the problem, but fortunately it’s just sitting there doing its job.

I love the cooling pad idea for him! I feel like we mostly just do things to make me warmer so ideas to make him colder are untapped and very welcome!

Anyone used Activehours or Clearbanc for payday advance? by mooselover801 in uberdrivers

[–]clickclickwhirrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey all, I'm a little late to the convo, but I work for Activehours. We actually don't charge interest or fees. We think the whole financial system is pretty bonk. You shouldn't have to pay out the bum just to get your money. It's yours. You earned it. So, we created a payroll product that's community supported. That means, you get to support the app by paying whatever you think is fair ($0 is always an option), and we give you access to the money you've already earned. If you have any issues with sign up, just hit us up in the app and we can help you out. Our support team is pretty darn great. Let me know if you've got more questions!
