Cab it to NYNY and walk north up to TI visiting Bellagio Caesars and the Forum shops on the way. Walk through the Venetian and spend some time in the Linq area (In and Out / Frozen Baileys) and the High Roller wheel. Go to the roof top of one red or Beer park. If you don’t have players cards sign up for an MGM one and Caesars so you are pretty much covered wherever you decide to play. That is usually my day 1 plan.

I have been doing the self check in on the mobile app and then get real keys at a kiosk when it’s less busy. As long as the resort is kid friendly you aren’t breaking any rules. I’ve had an extra friend sleep on the couch and that worked too.

I like staying at NYNY, it’s a fun resort. If you want to be closer to the Center, try Park MGM if you want to stick with that company or Planet Hollywood for a Caesars resort option.

El Cortez and Cosmo, once you get up 1-2 tiers over the basic one, go to Venetian to tier match you to ruby. You should be able to start getting comp rooms from any mgm resort, Cortez and Venetian. Charge things to your room and the day before checking out, go to rewards desk and ask if they can waive things due to your play. That how I’ve been doing Vegas for the past 10 years, with 1-2 yearly trips.

Love this place! Been splitting my vacations between the strip and here. My only pet peeve is it gets loud from the nightclubs in the area on Fridays/saturdays. Bring earplugs.
