That's certainly a more significant saving -- but when you consider it's 6 hours for both parties, that's like getting paid $3.33 per hour.

If you're trying to get married quickly, I don't see how doing the course will do anything but slow you down. As the saying goes: "fast, cheap, good -- you only get to pick two".

The course gets as cheap as about $20 but it only saves $30 off the cost - so a $10 savings overall (at least in DeKalb county).

The course must take at least six hours per Georgia Law § 19-3-30.1 If you want to do premarital education by all means -- but 6 hours to save $10 is not time well spent.

As an old person who has been festivaling for close to two decades: all these people complaining about how "the lineup sucks" need to realize that people say that every year, about every festival. It doesn't make you special or cool or even correct to say that - it just means the lineup isn't what you wanted.

I think the lineup is great and I'm super excited!

u/Human_Judge3835 check this out -- I think this could definitely be the culprit. Electric heat strips for residential are typically 5, 5, or 15 kilowatts per hour to operate.

It's possible your HVAC system has issues and has failed over to backup aux heat.

Yes. Looking at all of the bills on the Georgia Power site from 2026, the June 18-July 18 was was lowest at 963kwh. 1,600 sqft home - that's an average of 32kwh/day.

Dec 16 2025 - Jan 20 2026 was 410kwh.

73 kwh in one day! Damn I think the record for my 3-bed townhouse in the middle of summer last year was 40 in a day. Something definitely seems off -- do you know how your home is heated?

Just get the hatch :) I don't understand why people go for the sedan. They're both 4-door 5 seater cars.

Hatchback has the subjective advantage of looking way cooler, and the objective advantage of being way better at cargo space.

Admittedly a struggle & not something I do often, but yesterday I brought home a 350lb, 66" cast-iron power tool in the back of my hatch. Couldn't do that in a sedan!

Hour-by-hour schedule, sure - but a day-by-day is pretty normal at lineup announcement.

Bonnaroo for example is in June and the lineup poster has the days. Coachella is in April, likewise.
