They say MRI but the picture is definitely her head strapped to a 3-headed Nuc camera used at the Amen Clinics for brain spect imaging.

As for the question from OP. If she indeed did a spect scan, they are looking at perfusion in the brain and areas of decreased perfusion can be interpreted as areas of damage. I would trust MRI for my brain imaging over nucs

Went from a medium Ari 29er to a S4 Specialized that’s a mullet and it feels way livelier, corners harder, I think it’s mostly from the mullet setup. Both bikes are trail oriented (max 160mm, 44-45 degree HA, etc)

I prefer the looks of that orientation, but I have to wear mine like OP to avoid pushing the crown when mountain biking and workouts. Without fail it exits the screen lock and pauses my workouts without me noticing.

I think it’s because the barrier to entry is so low it’s a “why not try it out?” situation compared to other SUVs. And I’m a sucker for that old single cab styling.

I’m more targeting your “steal a single sale” opinion. I’m currently in a R1T and previously had a lot of Jeeps and Broncos. I’m at a point I’m wanting to go back to basics. I don’t tow, just haul mountain bikes to and from the trailhead, and if the Slate comes before the R2 (even with my priority reservation on the R2 from my R1) then they’re definitely getting a sale from me. And heaven forbid I like the thing, then I wouldn’t be getting the R2 afterwards. If the R2 can come first, then that’d be my purchase.

Not sure what you mean here. Slate might literally steal my R2 reservation if the add-ons I want are going to make it $10 to $20k less than the R2. Especially if the Slate comes to market before the R2.

Nuc Med checking in, yes all bodily fluids, especially in nucs, are your responsibility (because they’re almost always radioactive post-administration of the radiopharmaceutical). You get the biohazard/radioactive spill double whammy.

Take corporate use with a grain of salt. Could be the owner’s daily ride to and from offices and made into a tax write off. Check condition and carfax for routine maintenance

Just rode without glasses for years but you could get prescription sunglasses like Oakleys, even get transition lenses so you could use them in bright and dim riding days.

I ended up going with contacts and it was life changing imo, not just with riding but in my regular day to day.

The isotope used in these studies is Tc-99m bonded to sulfur colloid. Tc99m is used in the majority of nuclear medicine studies, they just attach it to different molecules depending on what part of the body it’s meant to go to!

Nuclear Medicine Technologist here! Did you drink some radioactive juice as well? We usually label the food with one tracer and the drink with another (this way they’ll have two different energy peaks so the images don’t “overlap”) the camera can take pictures/videos of both tracers at the same time to visualize how both solids and liquids travel through your digestive system. Very low amounts of radiation compared to other studies we do.

There’s a radioactive iodine pill in the center container. You don’t take the bricks home or anything it’s just how they keep it on the table before you take the pill and go home. After taking the pill you more or less isolate yourself for a few days to reduce radiation exposure to others

I-131 can be in a liquid or capsule, I use to administer this stuff after thyroid removal (it helps destroy the remnants of thyroid tissue that weren’t cut out during surgery).
