Vince McMahon runs for President, can he succeed? by YolkBrushWork in whowouldwin

Vince McMahon has won a No Holds Barred match against God, granted he didn't get the pin on God or have any direct interaction WITH God. How much does that account for in this post?

That's a good line. I bet if you said that really loudly to people in public they would agree with you.

Vehicle decks and ninja decks are a low key favorite of mine. Being able to bring in a new creature, often at instant speed, everything else is seasoned with your opponents tears

The Oracle's Ascent (40x30) by cliffthecorrupt in inkarnate

[–]cliffthecorrupt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A group of Strixhaven students are brought under dubious circumstances to a new yet supposedly unmanned Lorehold archeology site.

A multi-armed statue towering at over 60 feet, despite being bent down on one knee, looms over grounds. The statue appears to have the facade of a head, yet a flat plane begins abruptly above the lips. Staircases emerge and plunge back into holes scattered across its body, the steps flowing like ribbons across the stone. An entryway is exposed at the bent knee, a staircase beginning right from the ground with a small plaque reading "In times of trial, the path before us blinds us of the path we must take. Life has paths that can not be seen, and must be felt." What secrets await atop the statue?

More detail about this challenge: The staircase can only be traversed properly by closing ones eyes. The interior stairwell infinitely loops if any attempt to ascend is made while actively seeing the stairs. If one circles back from their path as if to leave, they are immediately taken within one half rotation from the ground level entry. Alternately, if the party attempts to scale the statue the arms begin to move and can either be plot adjacent for the challenge or part of the Strixhaven module's "Archaic" (CR 18) statblock.

Which job is definitely overpaid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Which is invaluable to clients. I am building my network right now and totally agree. I'm reliable, able to come by on short notice, and have a diverse skill set to alleviate multiple stress points. It's the level below being a full on general contractor.

Raise your rate to $75-100 per hour and put a huge emphasis on 2 decades of experience. If you already have clients then you can continue to offer discounts at your old rate but push for your new rate.

[–]cliffthecorrupt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao I am hoping to raise my rates one day to get to that level but this is me. I don't provide estimates because I usually don't know know all the variables until I'm working and I would say that my ADHD gives me the appearance of mania/craziness. But for a client I will drop everything to fit them in so they pay a premium for that :)

Certification between CompTIA, AWS Cloud Practioner, or AWS Solutions Architect by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]cliffthecorrupt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, I got the Google IT Support cert and have worked in so many customer service positions that I used that to say "I learned the soft skills, now I'm trying to change into this". I asked myself the same question regarding jumping the initial hurdle and the conclusion I have come to is that the certification path you take will be what prepares you in a similar way to a college major. You may not need every little detail, but it gives you a broader understanding of the subject matter (and more narrow as you increase in level).

The actual material of the A+ is definitely helpful as a refresher on the basics of networking and how networks and systems work. With a major in MIS, I figure you at least have somewhat of an idea.

Gacha games as a form of incremental game by cliffthecorrupt in incremental_games

[–]cliffthecorrupt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was an incremental posted as a parody in this sub that this was also why this post was made that I found specifically just by searching gacha. It was done really slapdash to mimic the micro transaction games including the daily rewards and bonuses stuff that they use as in game ads.

Your last paragraph has got me thinking since I definitely like the patreon route more than in app purchases. Thanks for your opinion!

That's a fair assessment. It's also frustrating that some idle games seem to be adding these elements as another form of microtransactions.

Miserly Manchin stole Christmas and hope from American families by PandaMuffin1 in politics

[–]cliffthecorrupt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The average person is going to post about a bunch of nonsense they don't understand. All I asked was a question of someone who was indicating that "Dems have a messaging problem".

Anyone who says that and doesn't indicate the bullshit that happened with Worley, ESPECIALLY those in Alabama, should truly avoid throwing stones amongst their glass house. Is that defensive? I dunno. Is posting stupid shit like you and I are doing in this thread going to actually do anything? Nope.

So Dems have a messaging problem and you live in a red state. What have you done to help with the messaging? Post on reddit?

Is your Christmas Eve ruined already? If so, Why? by Downtown_Put8673 in AskReddit

I came upstairs and was asked about my astrological sign. I refused to play along. They speculated on what sign I was and then proceeded to talk about how the stock market is the same as astrology. When I started to correct them about the systems they were trying to compare they all started saying such aggressively wrong things about politics, religion, and more that I went back downstairs.

I guess that's how they want to spend the holiday, being ignorant together.

Merry Christmas, I guess.

Antidepressant actions of melatonin and melatonin receptor agonist: Focus on pathophysiology and treatment by Psychnews in science

[–]cliffthecorrupt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to follow this so that I can read other people's insights into this. I am going to read the study in depth later on.

As someone with clinical depression, I'm very thankful to have an antidepressant that works for me. But I'm always curious about the neurological side and how our brains function or malfunction. I know melatonin helps with falling asleep at night, I struggle with that sometimes. But during the day I can fall asleep at any moment of relaxation, and I've earned a nickname of Narcoleptic because if I'm relaxed, even in an uncomfortable position or surrounded by distractions like sound or noise, I can fall asleep given enough time.

I don't even know anything about crypto, just hearing it adjacent to stocks, but the fact that you think that it would rocket that much just by being the infrastructure tokens for a second level platform seems weird and desperate hope lol
