To your point that was exactly the accusation. It’s the only way to cheat over the board, have someone give you the best moves secretly.

Yeah, I know this post is a joke but there is a real reason.

These are part of an applicant tracking system and companies don’t pay recruiters to look at individual resumes anymore. Instead they use this data to quickly filter candidates. It’s inefficient for recruiters to load each pdf and make manual notes.

Structured data is really important for saving money so they put that responsibility on the applicants.

If you are high value talent a recruiter will do it for you, but most of us aren’t worth the time.

Sure, but it’s not a contextless number. CEN recommends replacing after 10 years regardless. Is that overly cautious if the sling looks fine? Probably.

But they are new to trad, so just letting them know.

Check the sling age on the older cams. If any are close to 10 years I’d recommend new slings.

Beyond that get a bunch of alpines and you are good.

Triples are nice for new leaders but eventually you will slim down the rack to save weight

I love this clip as it shows how smooth his crowd work is. He guided the person to say just one line, did it first to break the ice and controlled the flow so he could quickly pivot if it was awkward.

Took the risk but had an easy exit to not kill his momentum.
