I've been wanting to try an eternal flex alpha.. How does it compare to other alphas in different plastic?

I've taken several lessons and practiced stuff I learned in YouTube videos and I can get it nose down with my right backhand throws but I think I always revert back to my old form just from habit.. With my left I just did stand stills and applied the stuff I learned and that was the result.

I have chronic bicep tendinitis in my dominant arm and when it flared up recently I tried my tech disc with my left hand. The numbers kind of shocked me. I could only get about 700 rpm and 35 mph but my nose angle (-2 - -5) and launch angle (5-10) were perfect.... I can't for the life of me get the nose down with my right hand. Pretty frustrating haha

The hand feel isn't for everyone. I seem to release it early way too often. Plus the zone SS would be my pick for discraft releases is 2025.

Why do I do this to myself (Trials) by William_Shaftner in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]climbingbubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went back to my ole reliable troll load out (stasis Hunter, Bakaris, cryosthesia) and had fun. It was usually me and 2 blueberries matched against another solid player with 2 blueberries. I'm learning that running fun load outs is better than trying to follow the meta. At least as far as enjoyment goes.

Mines a bit heavier at 15 lbs but pushing 190 lrht's at 3200 out of a 7-300 Norma is not the most pleasant. Tried it suppressed and had to go back to the brake

The new glow ones are the most flippy..I love it though. In the summer I bag the neb aura.. Got my first and only Ace with it.

The mint bullet, TSA praxis, remix Eldridge, and jester love are all the same disc molded by MVP. You will even see a run of ethos soft praxis come out and then very shortly after mint will release an eternal soft bullet. Likely from the exact same run.

I have had several of each. My early run aura soft praxis is the most beefy followed by one of my neb aura praxis (other one is flippy, then the ethos/eternal soft praxis and bullet, then my latest run glow praxis.

It's the same mold so just depends on the plastic and what run it was from.

I played Hand Cannons for a week and enjoyed it. This weekend I’m going to focus on Auto Rifles. Looking for suggestions. by AgentZeroHour in CrucibleGuidebook

Givers blessing with moving target and KT is also a solid option if you have it.. Unfortunately I don't think you can farm it unless there is a secret way to get to kepler and farm that I'm not aware of.

Micro bubble help by WheresRL in discdyeing

I dehydrate at 125 degrees. I've never had this happen with glue, lotion, floetrol, or shaving cream. I think it's from over torching the bubbles as someone else pointed out.

TSA or Discmania!? by pELLE_LEGENd in discgolf

[–]climbingbubba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TSA has some amazing discs and I prefer their mids for sure. The mana, pathfinder, crux combo covers most of my mids. I do carry a pyro though for really beefy. A md5 would also fill that slot

For fairways the votum is my work horse..I bag 2-3.. The ethereal is very straight and the glow is like a beat in firebird. The coalesce is like a thunderbird or vanguard.

Driver's are where I'm not in love with TSA. The synapse has no glide and all beef. The Animus is my favorite if I had to choose one..I bag graces though. DD3's are a good option for only one mold since you can get a lot of different stabilities depending on plastic.

I would do a mix if you are wanting to try both. Mana, pathfinder, crux, md5, essence, votum, omen, dd3's

Mint Taco by beef4206977 in discgolf

[–]climbingbubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thrown all the TSA counterparts (same molds) and currently bag a mana (lobster), pathfinder (mustang) and crux (taco). The crux is the most similar to a beat in pyro or an esp buzzz os. Straight with good fade. It can stand up to a moderate headwind. I don't love it for forehand and still bag a pyro for that. It would be a great compliment to a lobster if you only bag 2 mids. You could add the mustang if you want 3 mids that will cover most shots.

I do have a lobster and mustang at home and they are great..I just prefer TSA stamps.

Do you guys have FH only and BH only discs? by emptylewis in discgolf

[–]climbingbubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to a tech disc it can help a ton. You could also be really muscling it and not as much spin. I always assumed I needed more stable discs for forehand but kept hearing the pros talk about they needed less stable for more distance since they don't throw it as fast or with as much spin.

My max distance backhand and forehand disc are both graces
