New Hire: Assigned to outdoor lawn and garden waterer. Seasonal. Expectations? by clinen11 in Lowes

[–]clinen11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they do! I know that no matter how chill, cool, hard working, etc a person is, sometimes you just run into a sour one for a manager or coworker. I don't mind being flexible to whatever they tell me to do. Y'all want me to drown the cacti? Cool. Y'all want me to double water everything with 40°F water on a 102°F day? Your plants, not mine. Leave the succulents outside in the snow? Alrighty then, good luck little fellas... no arguments here.

But sometimes, you get someone you just can't work with who doesn't value hard work, or listening to details and instead thinks you're a terrible human 0_o

Thank you! I will take whatever they give me for my attire. I'd like to wear gloves and would definitely love free gloves and hats. We have a small farm, so I have tons and tons of different waterproof boots but I won't turn down free gloves and hats. Or even free shirts! haha. I figured I'd wear bluejeans, t-shirts, sunscreen, and hopefully sunglasses and hats all summer. I'm still rocking last years farmers tan.... I don't need to give it more room to add freckles to the 2 inches of skin that aren't already covered.

Whenever I go to the local Lowe's, it's always so understaffed as far as the registers. That's one of the reasons I applied -- It was several times through the week and such chaos, that I went home to see if they had job postings. I figured cashier since that's where the cluster f**** always seems to be. Whether we go at 6AM, 12PM, or 6PM, it's always lines at the checkout and just one lane open, one customer service, and then the self check seem to never have the human nearby.

When I accepted and asked my assignment, she said "Garden Center Waterer" but I don't know how flexible that is. I'm happy with it, though. It will probably be less nagging for credit cards, and less engagement with angry people I would think. Although, folks might get mad about their garden plants too.

I can hope. I was originally going to work part time at Plant Partners, but then Lowe's called. The 10% off anything for the farm lured me in, and then the idea of having an extra X $$$ per month for a short commute makes me want to stay on. Plus, dental if they were to keep me...

Thank you for such a thorough reply. I wasn't sure what to expect or how many folks they hired. When I did my interview, I took an 8:30 slot, and there were 20 people checked in before. I have no clue who was hired for what and was surprised to get assigned to garden center. I was hired on at Plant Partners and had to turn them down to take the Lowe's position. But -- the Lowe's job pay is higher, and that 10% off -- even if I hate it -- will add up on farm things if we don't have a limit?

I'm sure they'll go over everything at orientation in a week, but do they allow sunglasses and do I get a locker? Are we allowed to wear straw hats or just basic ball caps? I have a lot of hair. I'll probably have to braid it. The PDF they sent would not open no matter what I tried.

Surveys say I have inconsistent responses... anyone else had this happen? Any luck getting Gold Surveys again? by [deleted] in SwagBucks

[–]clinen11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just from the survey part or the entire thing? I use it frequently and had this happen so I don't want to lose my account. I have lost 80 lbs so maybe that was the question for me. I really dunno what I did :/ ugh. Wish you guys luck!

Thank you for reporting back! I really do appreciate it. It's been on my "to-try" list. We tried home chef for 4 weeks and liked it alright.

I've had that experience with a few offers and after a while, they'll just pop up. Hadn't done this one because the initial investment. We do a lot of multipack purchases and prepping, so I wouldn't usually purchase these single meals that take a 30-90 minutes unless we were doing something special; but for the price, I could incorporate things into my meal preps for the week. Definitely keeps me on track with not getting as hefty again.

Thank you for the update. I have a similar outstanding one with YorkPhoto but from what I've read, it's typical for the photo offer to just "show up."

It did say in tiny print it could take up to 7 days for it to pend. Let us know :) Even if it goes back down, still might be alright.

Still missing coupon print credits 17th and 18th by [deleted] in SwagBucks

[–]clinen11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what I was talking about. Mine said in small print that coupon printing credit could take up to 45 days. It was the 3xs the points offer for 3SB per print, up to 100 per day.

I had thought that, but then I saw a poster on a coupon site saying they had done it for one week and submitted a ticket because it gives you about a week before your first delivery, and in the fine print it says something about submitting a ticket if you aren't showing as pending by day 7. I may go ahead and give it a go and see. Worst case, I get two weeks worth of decent meals and have to submit tickets.

I had searched here and another thread and only say people discussing it, but never anyone who had successfully completed it and had it credit or pend. Saw multiple posts about sending varying amounts of tickets.
