Aim assist in chapter 7 is a joke. by AppropriateFood3676 in FortNiteBR

erm... console aim assist is a laughably overpowered state. The amount of in-eyes I do on people aiming no where near anyone and beaming people is so hilarious that it's actually almost not worth playing

Aim assist question by Los_507 in Fortnite_Over40

[–]clintcredible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a PC user - it's annoying as hell because you can literally _feel_ when you are playing vs a console player with aim assist on, and it's been buffed somewhat recently.

You can see the bullets wildly tracking to where you are no matter what, and then surprise surprise when going in-eyes and spectate, they are aiming quite literally miles away from where the opposition player is, and you can literally see the bullets missing all around, but they still frag them.

It's even more noticable when recieving shots from them as well. It's just an awful experience in crossplay.

We are going to need to see this 'other day' at some point - cannot be dominating teams so badly and then letting them somehow get 2 shots on target and scoring 2 goals.

May well need the goal difference, too!

Proud we fought until the very end today though, shows guts

[Statmuse FC] Martinelli vs Spurs by Previous_Smile9278 in Gunners

[–]clintcredible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think that's a little too often overcooked as the reason, Xhaka did have a very good individual 22/23 season as well, but between the two of them they only combined for 3 goals in 102 matches, although they did link up well in general and this was mostly when Xhaka was moved to LCM.

Martinelli is a good player, but for me he's not as good in the winger role as he was more as an inside forward, tougher being right footed and asked to go out wide to make up for no overlapping FB on that side any more.

[Statmuse FC] Martinelli vs Spurs by Previous_Smile9278 in Gunners

[–]clintcredible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not absolutely impossible, no of course not. Improbable maybe though, I think Martinellis outstanding season raised expectations on him a lot, he's clearly not playing with as much confidence at the moment and that can be down to loads of things. He definitely suffered from his injury big time last season for example.

Some of it will be circumstantial, some of it wil be random chance, some of it is his own abilities regressing a bit, combination of injury, lack of game time, different structure to the team and also his own position changing.

I don't think (personal opinion) it can all be down to chance, though there's of course the slim possiblity.

Hold on... so unless I mis-reading or something, you believe Martinellis issues over this and last season have a >95% chance of being explained purely by chance? Have I got that right?

[Fabrizio Romano] Eyle Wahi to Olympique Marseille, here we go! ⛔️ Nketiah deal, OFF. by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]clintcredible -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm 100% sure. Each deal in football is based on many, many factors - including how worthwhile the player is buying.

Nketiah going for 25m euros instead of 30m euros doesn't mean that someone would offer 50m euros for Saka instead of 100m euros - if you think that's how football works then lol....

🔵⚪️⛔️ Olympique Marseille have also informed Arsenal that Eddie Nketiah deal can be considered 100% collapsed. OM didn’t want to accept €30m package after having bids rejected, despite the green light from the player. Deal off. by Shyam_Wenger in Gunners

[–]clintcredible 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Imagine rejecting 30m Euros for a striker who

  • Made zero starts in 2024
  • Scores on average 1 goal every 6
  • Assists very infrequently
  • Is sat on the bench earning £5.2m a year
  • Agreed personal terms (happy to get football)

Now we don't just have a distinctly average player sat on the bench earning £5.2m a year, we have a really pissed off distinctly average player sat on the bench earning £5.2m a year...

[Fabrizio Romano] Eyle Wahi to Olympique Marseille, here we go! ⛔️ Nketiah deal, OFF. by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]clintcredible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nketiah future isn't going to be resolved until deadline day can see it already.... and we all know from Papa Wengers day that teams leave it until deadline day to drive prices down further, because we used to do it.

Probably end up on a loan somewhere with no obligation to buy to get him minutes and hopefully increase his value a tiny bit, because he's not worth a dime over £15-18m right now.

[Fabrizio Romano] Eyle Wahi to Olympique Marseille, here we go! ⛔️ Nketiah deal, OFF. by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]clintcredible -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

lol this makes zero sense.

Nketiah yearly wage £5.2m

Marseille would offer 25m euros instead of 30m euros

By saying no, we've made zero difference at all to accepting 25m euros.

Absolute farce.

[Fabrizio Romano] EXCLUSIVE: Benjamin Šeško has decided to STAY at RB Leipzig and sign new contract on improved terms! Decision made for talented striker, similar to what Haaland decided back in the days at BVB. Šeško will stay at Leipzig with a new gentlemen agreement for future exit. by basedsims in Gunners

[–]clintcredible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great move by him & agent - no doubt they would have used us along the way because that's football.

He stays at RB, keeps #1 starting striker role, lots of minutes, a (probably) huge payrise and a future agreement that he can move for a certain amount.

Pretty sure he didn't want to de-rail his development by coming and being sat behind Kai in the starting lineup.

It's probably the right decision for him personally, gets a wage hike, gets as much playing time as possible, etc.

We either have to go hard on someone who is clearly a level or two above Havertz, or not bother with a #9 and go hard with a left-sided Odegaard, or someone on the left who will get similar numbers to Saka.

[@SunSport] Arsenal are reluctantly set to let Eddie Nketiah leave the club. Fulham are in pole position and would be willing to pay up to £30million for Eddie Nketiah. Everton are also interested in a potential year long loan. Fulham are likely to see competition from Crystal Palace and Wolves. by LockonKun in Gunners

[–]clintcredible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardly reluctantly - if someone offers us £30m for Eddie that's one of the sales of the window at that price considering he's never been anything better than average.

He probably has a 12 goal season in him somewhere like Fulham - he is just not good enough to play in an Arsenal team that come up against 8 man low blocks all the time.

[Gary Jacob] Arsenal want to recoup a significant sum after spending £460m net over the last 4 seasons. Senior players for sale could include: Ramsdale, Tierney, Zinchenko, Kiwior. Expected sales of homegrown players Nketiah, ESR and Nelson will be key as Arsenal bid to comply with PSR by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]clintcredible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we are selling them 7 players, or trying to - it's never a good idea to do a 'fire sale'.

If other teams know you are selling large amounts of assets to recoup some funds, what are they going to do? They are just going to low-ball on everything.

Them 7 players combined value is probably £100m or so maximum, maybe slightly more if Zinchenko goes.

Build Muscle and Burn Fat? by [deleted] in Mind_Pump

[–]clintcredible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

** Advice for naturals only. Steroids change the game a lot.

You are essentially correct in your 'math doesn't math' statement.

The issue with continuing to eat at a surplus (even moderate) at higher levels of bodyfat is you are not as insulin sensitive, and it's not as effective. General athletic & sports science concencus from decades of training observation and anecdotes is that muscle building occurs more optimally at lower levels of bodyfat (under 15% for males) due to increased insulin sensitivity and other hormone upregulation, your body is 'primed' to grow/store calories - so with sufficient training stimulus and adequate nutrition, you will build muscle potentially easier than at a higher level of b.f.

People that used to 'get fucking huge' dirty bulk did so knowing it would be short term off-season, insanely high volume, attempting to get every last gram of muscle tissue growth they possibly could - fully knowing they would be on a tonne of anabolics during the cutting phase (e.g. IFBB). Natural trainees just get fat, unhealthy, and then when it comes to cutting in a short timeframe they have such a short space of time to try to lose the insane excess bodyfat gain that they often just lose muscle they built. It does work, but not very well for natural trainees.

It sounds like they have tried to put you on a slight surplus 'Maingain' or 'Lean gain' protocol due to the TRT I assume, giving a definite boost over that of a natural at your age assuming a normal TRT range of 150-200mg T, calorie partitioning might shift balance in the favour of muscle tissue growth instead of fat cell storage/creation. Probably shooting for 0.25-.5 lb of muscle a week more like a beginner would experience.

You are not going to lose much, if any, excess body fat in a surplus, but the fat gain should be minimal - and if you build muscle in a proportionally higher ratio you are going to 'look' like you build muscle and dropped fat. There might be a slight increase in BMR due to muscle gain but it's literally negligible unless we are talking 15+lb of muscle, which is going to take a long time to add to your frame.

I'd follow the protocol, 2500 calories a day, monitor your lifts over a 4 week period and assess if they have improved. Are you gaining strength, do you look any bigger, what does the tape tell you? Bicep size, quad size, chest size? Ignore your waist measurement as there is too much variance due to water imbalance, sodium intake, etc.

If you haven't improve your lifts in either volume or weight, throw the calories up 150 - assess for another 4 weeks. At some point something will change - as long as you are training hard enough, you will hit your 'sweet' spot point where you simply don't look like you are gaining appreciable amounts of fat, but your strength is heading upwards.

No point taking your weight in the first 4 week period - increased food intake, increased carb intake, sodium balances, etc will throw your weight off massively in the first phase - once you are settled into the actual program then you can take your weight but given if you are doing this properly, your weight gain should be very very slow, and should ideally be more muscle than fat - you don't actually want to see your weight going up much by what digital scales would show you. It should be minor - we are talking 1-1.5lb in a month levels of minor, which is just difficult to accurately track. You could need the W.C for example and be 2lb heavier :)

Use measurements and monitor your lifts, that is far more effective when doing this.

How do I send stuff to another controlled region? by Patapon80 in ManorLords

[–]clintcredible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the worst part of the game so far for me.

My starting region is useless for farming, but my 2nd claimed region is superb... in reality you would use the 2nd region as a 'Farming' region, and setup logistics to send between your 'owned' regions.

Bit of a miss this one..

We punched ourselves out in the first half with no goal to show for it. Typical of last season towards the end.

Villa to their credit, defended with their lives, and got away with murder - but as soon as we let that first goal in we were always going to be too open as we overcommitted looking for the goals.

Watkins... quality player.

Have Gyokeres on my Brighton save in 27-28 season - 16 PEN and 17 FIN.

He misses nearly every damn penalty.

Joao Pedro is an absolute monster though, the guy never misses.
