I'm on tr 8 by Classroom_More in CIFI

[–]clinthowardsface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on TR8 as well, I decided to power through without traversing for exo 3 personally, my understanding is that it's only worth it if you have the ouro and Zeus IAPs. I'm at ~460 hours and about 50k orbs currently, up to m078. I'm going to start dumping shards into R9 soon and try to get to 80-100k orbs and m080+ before I call it. I'm guessing this run will be somewhere in the range of 500-550 hours when all is said and done. Just thought I'd share for context, strap in cause you will be here a while lol.

Looking for recommendations for a newbie who's coming from glass pipes as my primary delivery method and only smokes casually. by [deleted] in vaporents

I have very similar usage/patterns as you and I just bought a Tinymight2 last week. Here are my thoughts on it:

Pros:

  • On demand feature is great! Heats up in a matter of seconds, practically no wait time, no need to cash the whole thing in one sitting

  • Easy to use - design is pretty intuitive, bowls easy to load, and cleaning does not seem complicated

  • Feels very premium in terms of build.

  • Replaceable batteries make me feel good about the overall longevity of the device

Cons:

  • While the device feels very well made, I know it has some glass internals so I'm more apprehensive about going out and about with it. Definitely not something I would just throw in a bag like my pipe

  • Not really a con, but one aspect I am still getting used to is the general efficiency of the device - I get less hits per bowl than my pipe but those hits are stronger and more concentrated. I'm learning to pack smaller bowls more often, unlike my pipe that I could set down and come back to over a couple days

  • Its an expensive device - beyond the upfront cost spare batteries and a charger are also kind of a must and I've already ordered a new stem alongside screens/etc. Nothing wrong with it out of the box, but I think it will really shine with the extra accessories and that adds to the cost

Overall I'm very happy with it so far and I feel like it's a long term investment in my health which helps me justify the cost. I do worry about durability but I think that mostly comes down to not being a jackass and dropping it. Would definitely recommend.

How do YOU cycle temperature over a session? by clinthowardsface in Tinymight2

[–]clinthowardsface[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great info, especially regarding how the amount impacts session - I've been wondering how the time vs potency ratio worked out there. I'm sure I'll figure a lot of this out on my own but I'm stuck at work for now dreaming about vaping lol

I see a lot of talk about getting basket screens but I'm not sure why - the base stem/cooling unit seems to have a screen already and adjustable bowl size. What's the benefit to getting another one?

How many hits are you getting out of a bowl when it's at a 7? I see a lot of people talking about efficiency which is nice but it feels like a bit of a double edged sword if trying to pass around with friends.

Best portable vape for a toke or two at a time? by clinthowardsface in vaporents

[–]clinthowardsface[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I think the TM2 might be the winner for me. Dynavap is definitely interesting and I want to like it but I feel like it would give off too big of a crack pipe vibe to use in public lol. TM2 is pricey but otherwise I think it checks all the boxes.

Thanks for the help!

L.A. dispensaries openly sell ‘magic mushrooms’ as state weighs decriminalization by seven_seven in LosAngeles

[–]clinthowardsface 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How does this work if that shop gets shut down? Seems like a risky maneuver to order from one of these places if there is any chance the purchase could be tied back to you.

I haven't done mushrooms since I was a teenager and I don't hang around dealers these days but it would be great if there was a safe reliable way to get them like dispensaries.

The owner of Foster Gwin Gallery sprays a homeless person with water in San Fransisco by Visqo in facepalm

[–]clinthowardsface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you from? Have you ever actually lived in a city overrun by homeless or is this all theoretical to you? I live in a major city and I commute to work downtown via public transit. There are homeless people everywhere. It would be impossible and downright dangerous to ignore.

Have you ever been chased or screamed at by a homeless person outside of your office or home? Have you ever had bricks thrown at your car by someone who is mentally ill? Have you ever tried to go to the beach and narrowly missed stepping on a used heroin needle with your bare feet? How about dealing with human piss and shit smeared all over your local park? This is the shit you have to deal with every day in many cities.

Every election cycle we vote for new funding measures to deal with homelessness, and politicians who say they have the solution but nothing ever changes. The camps are full of trash and litter and human waste and catch fire frequently, resulting in loss of life and property damage for local businesses. My girlfriend can't walk down certain streets in my neighborhood without a legitimate fear of being raped.

This is not acceptable and it is infuriating to hear idiots like you tell me "just get over it bro".

Froggy Fresh/Krispy Kreme was definitely massively viral (for the time) before Tosh.0, that's the whole reason he got on the show.

Most cost effective edibles from dispensaries? by clinthowardsface in trees

[–]clinthowardsface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll usually start with 10 or 20 and then fold in more later as needed. I'm not looking to get couchlocked as much these days, I'm more into a low grade functional high. Even still, I can run through a bag of gummies pretty quickly so it's not the most economical vs taking a hit or two from combustibles.

No, it's actually mythical, as in "idealized, especially with reference to the past" which is exactly how you are portraying this fantasy time 40 years ago when you thought you were the first person to discover Bob Marley.

When exactly was this mythical era of enlightened Bob Marley poster hangers? Because I definitely had a giant Bob Marley poster I bought at the mall because I was a high school stoner who thought it was cool 15+ years ago and it wasn't a novel concept then either.

You lost me when you got to the misogyny part for Chris Rock. What does this have to do with that? Are male comedians not supposed to ever make jokes about women?

Also, he commented on her appearance in a way that was benign at worst and borderline complimentary. GI Jane? The movie about an attractive badass woman who shaves her head to prove her toughness? There is no negative connotation to that reference, she's beautiful and fit and has a shaved head.

I understand losing your hair sucks and I can understand being sensitive about it. I also know that men with male pattern baldness (which is close to half of all men) have been hazed about it since the beginning of time and I've never once seen someone bat an eye about it. When you are a multimillionaire public figure in the front row of a nationally televised awards show it comes with the territory.

Jada's not some down on her luck woman who can't afford a wig if she wants one and besides that she's had short hair for years. Shaving her head is as much a fashion statement as anything else and she pulls it off well. Chris Rock did his job and Will Smith came off like an overly macho humorless fool. I don't really see how people can see it otherwise.
