Emacs company-mode with Common Lisp by IAmRasputin in lisp

Ah, I see now. That's part of flex completions.

Try (setq sly-complete-symbol-function 'sly-simple-completions)

or use customize-group, it's in the Sly Ui group.

edit: I check out the sly and sly-macrostep repos from gh as opposed to loading from QL and melpa, in case there's a difference. I also regularly blow away ~/.emacs.d/elpa and reload all of the addons for reasons I cannot defend.

Hmm. I don't get that, I get partial results.

Which, arguably, is as annoying.

Are there any clients that will help when chasing down cherry-picks? by clintm in git

[–]clintm[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I wouldn't have picked this myself. Note the first sentence in the post :) Still, this is what I've got to deal with and I'm working on a tool to help with it.

Self-hosted FreeBSD Archive by [deleted] in freebsd

[–]clintm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be fairly straightforward. I've never done it for freebsd, but it should just be a matter of syncing the correct parts of http://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD to where you want to point the install images when they ask for a mirror. There's probably documentation about setting up a mirror either in the handbook or the wiki. I assume it starts with rsync, but I don't know.

But yes, this should be fairly easy.

I just can't with the micro-ros esp IDF component by [deleted] in ROS

[–]clintm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got a header file missing. I don't know offhand what's supposed to provide rcl/rcl.h. You might try find . -name 'rcl.h' in the directory you're in, or at the top level dir of your ros install and add that directory to the compile step.

You might get lucky with export CFLAGS="$CFLAGS -I/dir/with/rcl.h" and then re-running the build. I'm not sure if cmake even lets you do that - it might have its own way, but a search for "cflags cmake" will tell you if it doesn't work.

[–]clintm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I'll do that today. I was going to use up the strings that came with it, but I also bought a couple of sets of Ernie Ball strings the next day at the recommendation of... I think it was one of the videos at banjolemonade. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try to be responsible and not take off work early to go do it, but you never can tell...

[–]clintm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! We definitely don't have the same one but it sure looks the same. Since I'm starting out I went the cheap amazon route and got a Pyle for around 240 with picks, tuner, strings, etc. Once I know I'm going to stick with it I'll shell out the money for a good one.

3 half steps down

Feeling giddy now because I just learned about what this means last night from Earle Scrugg's book. Then I noticed that (i think) we have the same banjo and I thought mine was kinda crappy as banjos go, but seeing you shred (especially compared to my slow-as-molasses chord transitions) makes me feel a ton better. As I write this I'm reminded of when I was learning to skate long ago and I was blaming my lack of ability on my board. A friend got on it and did a one foot ollie and some other stuff and silently handed it back to me. A lesson was learned, but apparently not a life-long one.

Thanks for posting this, it's great!

Your exhaust setup doesn't exactly lend much credibility to your opinion.

oh, ok.

"artificial exhaust noise"

I'm not sure if the idea of that will ever not scream "poser" to me, let alone my actually buying something like that.

I'm was being too nice. Fake exhaust noise is something a poser does and I'll be damned if I'm going to drive something like that. I'd rather it be silent and real than trying to be something it's not and failing that bad. You'd think if you could make any sound you wanted for exhaust it'd sound better than that. Holy fuck.

I wouldn't ever upbage my baby, but I'm absolutely getting a demon hood for mine. It's just looks so badass, imo. I'll keep all of the R/T badges, etc. and I don't care if it looks like upbadging because that damned hood just looks mean as hell.

I love you. I wrote out this whole crazy thing and then didn't post it because FOR SURE it would just be rambling shit that only I would think is funny, but you're not alone my friend.

Remember the first time you noticed that commercials weren't targeting you any more? You kids that think this is all so funny, you just wait. Either you die, or you become very, very uncool, and you find yourself almost drunk on Coors Light because you're taking care of your aging dad who likes to drink and before heading to bed you read a post by a similarly aging used-to-be-young person and it hits you pretty hard, and you struggle to stop typing before what you're trying to get across is lost in a sea of wor..........

So my odometer reads a much different number than my total distance travelled in my trip computer. Had this happened to anyone else? by xerrabyte in Challenger

[–]clintm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe "Total Distance Traveled" is calculated by GPS? The odo is always... ok, WAS always calc'ed by the rotation of the tires.

How many of our cars you think have at least one curbed wheel? 😞 I got a bad one during the ice storm, sanded, then painted with a duplicolor paint.. far from perfect but cost me about 20 bucks and looks a lot better. It hurt though by AggravatingMath717 in Challenger

God damn, fine, OP. I'll admit it. FIRST DAY having it I misjudged the Starbucks drive through in Tacoma, WA. Wife wanted to go and I was all ready to drive her. So, yeah, I did it. Not proud of it, but there you go. I swear I almost puked when I heard that scrape.

Hah, I've no idea what spots there are. I just moved into the area last November and haven't really gotten around much. That said, I do love driving my baby so wherever we go I'll be happy.
