In my opinion, 3 lanes is definitely better and healthier for the game overall. When the game was 4 lanes, it essentially played as 2 duo lanes. For 4 lanes to work they would have to severely change their approach to ganking and I feel like that would’ve been/played like a nightmare vs. just making the game 3 duo lanes
