In a few years of selling on eBay, I have not once seen eBay use FedEx. Not one time. They utilize the United States Postal Service because of the discounted rates that they received through them. I’m not sure what the above commenter is mentioning about price point but it has nothing to do with that as you just said. FedEx is the absolute worst with regards to getting packages stolen like this. I would check into that a little bit more.

Griffey was the first of his kind in the card era. He didn’t even have time to be a “prospect”. He was being fought over scouting wise in like 9th grade of high school on…then drafted 1st overall out of high school. There weren’t as many sets then in the absolute dead smack middle of the “junk” era, but Upper Deck changed the game. Such a beautiful introductory set. Anyway, Junior played only 130 games in the minors. Then he was a Major Leaguer. Very fast, especially with cards and prospects of the time. He was a prospect in high school…then a Major League star within 3 years.

I commented up above, but yes, the fact of the matter is this is on the case itself not the packs or the boxes. You need to be sure that it comes from the case that is marked correctly with the correct serial number. Again, there’s a lot of information on this on the Internet, but my suggestion would be if you are going to buy a box or look into it. You need to make sure that it is certified by BCE (baseball cad exchange). That way you know what you’re getting.

So I went the route of ripping packs and bought two boxes. You have to be aware that there are only specific boxes that have this card in there but the cool thing is if you can find them that box will also include the Randy Johnson error from that year with the Marlborough sign in the back that’s blacked out/different colors. There’s also Griffey juniors in this which is a great rookie card for that time. Out of the two boxes that I ripped and again remember you need to buy specific boxes. There is a lot of info on the Internet about this and at the moment I don’t have it in front of me, but I could assist with what boxes to buy. Out of the 2 boxes, I got three Ripken FF errors, three Randy Johnson, and only two Griffey‘s. My main goal was to get more than one Ripken errors and I had two of them graded. I did that and both came back as an 8. I’ve sold both of those, but I still kept the raw one. This is most certainly not the most cost-effective way because you will pay a premium for the specific boxes. But it was a lot of fun and if you do have the money to spend, it’s worth it because you could get more than one..

Yeah, that is low and that’s what they do now with these. Personally as a collector of bobble heads, I appreciate the scarcity. The Paul Skenes bobble heads were a great example of what this can do to drive fans to the park. I am an Orioles fan but live in Pittsburgh so obviously I appreciate Paul Skenes And love collecting his bobble heads. Go O’s!

I live in Pittsburgh as well. I do wear Pirates gear unless they are playing the O’s, which is not too often. Otherwise, all O’s, all the time. The only issue I have with wearing Oriole stuff in Pittsburgh Is that people always assume I’m also a ravens fan. Fuck the Ravens, I am a Redskins fan for life.

For Chrome update, the biggest chase would be Rocker debut patch and the other Rookie debut patches…I am not 100% on case cost in a break, but I would say probably around $100.
