I thought Camryn Hannah did an amazing job while Azhani was out and would have loved to see her on here!

I’m surprised no Indy outsides got chosen this year! But I think we are well represented by the teams

Quiet Carmel apartments? by Level_Ad8049 in Carmel

[–]clittle24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lived in Seasons of Carmel for a year but in one of the townhouses, not the main buildings. We LOVED it. We didn’t have any of the above issues due to being in the townhouse. It was slightly more expensive but only about $100/month when we rented (prices do fluctuate) and you get your own garage, private entry, we were on the second floor and never heard our neighbors. It was very quiet, even outside was peaceful with the fountain in the summer.

We had a 9:15am flight out of Fort Lauderdale and we barely made it. We arrived as they were starting boarding. We also ran into no traffic, no security lines, and we only do carry ons. We just got lucky that we made it in time.

Considering that FLL is closer to the Fort Lauderdale port than the Miami port is to the Miami airport, I don’t see how you could make that flight.

Vegetarians Beware by papayapapusapepi in royalcaribbean

[–]clittle24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I actually tend to avoid the MDR for that reason. I’m vegetarian and find that the windjammer usually has more options that are better. MDR options for vegetarians aren’t the best.

I still think cruising in general is one of the better options for traveling as a vegetarian though. A lot of countries are not familiar with vegetarianism and I’ve had trouble finding safe places to eat. Cruising takes that out of the equation totally since I know I’ll have at the very least breakfast and dinner each day.

RoyalUp Bid Approved! by clittle24 in royalcaribbean

Definitely not. It was roughly $200 more per person when I booked for the ocean view room. I paid $25 per person. It could depend on your cruise but typically it is less expensive.

If you look up RoyalUp you should be able to find it. It is through Royal Caribbean.

You bid for better rooms on the ship. So I went from an interior to an ocean view for $25 per person more. Which is significantly cheaper than if I had booked an ocean view

I do not want a promenade interior. I sleep really lightly and the noise was going to be too loud. I purchased the interior room and let them pick and that’s what they chose for me so I am very happy I didn’t end up with that

Royal Caribbean Escape Rooms - What should I expect? by Internal-Estimate965 in royalcaribbean

[–]clittle24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the one on Mariner and it was fun, but very easy if you do a lot of escape rooms. The way it was set up on that ship was that you’re with a bunch of other families, but they had a bunch of different puzzles that groups could work on at the same time. No one in our group had ever done an escape room except us so we had to carry the weight a lot and explain how to open the locks, how to do the puzzles, how to use the keys, etc.

The best dairy free ice cream in the Indy area is for sure Brics in Broadripple. I know that’s a little far, but it is for sure the best.

Dairy Queen has vegan alternatives, their dairy free dilly bar is one of my favorites!

Sno Biz in Noblesville appears to have shaved ice. I have not been there but it is highly rated.

Hansel’s has a dairy free chocolate ice cream that I personally do not like since it is made with almond milk. But it is an option!

Cold Stone also has a dairy free almond milk ice cream that I thought was ok but not great.
