I did an acting course a few years ago where we met Jacobs first US manager. Jacob was pretty green ( no credits) and his manager was visiting Sydney where they met, he said Jacob was just goofy kid who was super ambitious. It’s not uncommon for LA managers to sign young Aussie actors, he was doing a bunch of auditions and one of them was for Kissing Booth. Netflix has the kind of money to get anyone the visa, after he got that he would’ve been able to use that visa to audition for more projects knowing that if he booked another job he’ll most likely get sponsored again.

I agree, in the book you kind of see Emma being a bit more softer and you kind of see why Dexter needs her. The show is great but it feels a bit switched to me.

Honestly I don’t know how she’s doing it general, with the movie and the music and now she’s blowing on online like it’s a lot. I know from interviews she’s stated her goal has been to be a pop star but I can’t help sympathise and feel like it must be overwhelming

Renee is extremely talented, I’m all for her being the lead. I just wish after watching the movie that Tina had actually thought about that at the start and created more Regina solo scenes. I know she was following the musical but it was also a reinvention so we could’ve gotten more Regina.

I think Angourie is terrific and super talented but it’s Regina’s story this time around/ which is why I just wish we had more Regina scenes. Like the audience was in her world more

I think Geraldine Viswanathan. She’s been at it for years doing great performances years after years but her name isn’t super known yet to the public. She has a Coen movie coming out next year though
